Always, at some stage we will meet opposition like this but for all the critism City defence takes we only had one against and that was a penalty. The defence has improved, mostly becaue opponents have been trying to keep our attack at bay but nevertheless they are getting better. In part this ois also because we have a better goalkeeper at last. Against Burnley I would certainly make changes, maybe 4/5 subs and keep mostly the same team again against Wolves. Augerro. Gungdohan, Bernando, Danilo, Kompany or maybe add Foden plus another

Hi Goatistuta…good to see you as well. They have set themselves a very high standard now, Napoli next test then Burnley who are doing well at the moment and also full of confidence. I am sure City will have an answer. I expect to see Gungdoghan, Bernando more in this period, even Yaya because the games are comeing up thick and fast now.

I think it has to be one of the best I have ever seen, the big difference is how the team react to a goal against, they are just calm now, get on with the job. I do not think this is the finished article yet but they play with confidence and style. As much as I would like to see the same team play every week, this is a game of rotation with Mendy, Augerro and Kompany back it should develop more. In the latter case I think it will only be short term now so a replacement will have to be found.I do like Gundoghan and Bernadinho being ready, they are very good players. It is a much younger team as well which is to there credit. It is certainly the best squad I have witnessed in all my time and we have a great Manager, I hope he stays a long time

Delph did have a good game, kept it simple but hs marking for the first of Stokes goal was too loose, other than that doing a good competent job, certainly allowing Fernandinho more time to do what he does instead of propping up Koralov

What I liked most about that team performance was two things. When Stoke pulled it back to 3-2, they kept calm, played there football and just passed them to death. The second point, was the substitutions Gudoghan and bernando are such neat and tidy players, you wonder why they are not playing more but to get into this team you have to be patient. I thought Stones was outstanding in defence but Silva and KDB are something else are they not. They now know that they have something special, keeping it at this level will not be easy

Chucky….I am all for putting all the teams in a hat, no seeding, get what you are given.There is no unfairness about that only commercial opportunity for some, the elite

Chuky…I just do not believe Arsenal cannot afford £100 per week for you, after all, they have just chucked away 15 million on the Canchez/Lemmar move, now they will loose even more when Sanchez goes…to whatever club. Wenger may be a good tactician but he is not so good in the transfer business. It will all work out in the wash come January, knowing Arsenal that will probably be the 31st or miss the boat again

I should have added. Spurs are a good team and yes HK is very important to them however the team around him are important to HK also

Nine….it certainly looks like a jab at Poch, however, when you look at Peps comments everytime he plays them he is full of praise, even calling them the best team at one stage, so my guess is has been lost in media translation…and we all know what media does to anything it cannot understand….invent it.

I believe he will stay in Barcelona. Money is not the issue I think he will go for lifestyle and family interest and not unsettle them for 1/2 years…not worth it. Great player but agree with earlier comment think Pep is wise enough to culture the next generation now and believes in next 2/3 years he can do it at City….hope so, at the moment it is very enjoyable

The ONLY thing that matters are RESULTS. You can talk all day about squads etc..its goals that count and Results that matter….end of story. The media exploits fans who then go OTT. My take
City…have a good capable squad
Utd …will always be in the mix
Liverpool they are better than most think
Chelsea always a threat
Arsenal…unpredictable
Tottenham…exciting young side with good manager

I would like to see other teams challenge that lot, like Leicester did

The league they will play in will be entirely new, along with City, Utd Chelsea M.Munich. R Madrid Juventis etc etc. I believe it is already in the planning stage, TV will control it not UEFA
