ParticipantWell, my last word on this is it may well drive people to lower league football or even ladies game, which may not be a bad thing, unless they sort it out so everybody understands what they are watching. As a fan, paying ever increases in tickets and merchandise and watching Prima dona’s it will make them wonder if it is worth it. I hope not but the games controlling bodies are only in it for the cash now not the game itself

ParticipantRight or wrong…I think most fans have had enough, it really is spoiling the game and I cannot see any viable change to make it better. I hate it when every goal is referred to VAR. even penalties….just lets us have a game of football for 90 minutes

ParticipantSimplyfying the rules is a good idea, my concern then would be how do you simply humans who make up the rules, plus, most with an interest to do so i suspect

ParticipantLucky…what I was trying to say, he has to work with what he has got and if the squad is poor ten the manager has to find ways to improve them. Some investment is required but that can be said pre Jose. I am not defending Jose so much and he is not a favourite of mine but I just do not like the thought of players managing a manager and club There are clubs with less than Spurs have but doing a better job with there resources. In reality, there is know solution to this other than a change of manager which is always the case on the Merry-go-round

ParticipantLucky..you are right , the more it is discussed and hyped about, the Agents will love it. If I was a Manager though and the club I worked for had that money I would prefer 3/4 class players to one that cost a lot and could easily be injured in first game. Risk is very high even if you wanted to go that route. I would be a little dissapointed if City paid that amount of money and hope they keep there good business sense. I also think the supporters would feel uncomfortable with the numbers. However, as always somebody will do it, just hope it is not City

ParticipantI will sadly miss going to a big store, well , as it was years ago. The wheel will eventually circle and I believe there will be another time for them. The current margin shops could easily been Woolworths of old. I think the problem with big shops is they catered for the wrong markets putting there eggs in one basket, so to speak and catering for fashion labels and high prices. I can never understand why Jeans are such a high price, put a label on they go higher….must admit though, never worn a pair in my life. M+S lost a lot of customers like me catering for the young but now rely on food more than clothes i suspect

ParticipantSean..re your earlier post..clots….I think you are probably more likely to get clots cramped up in a budget seated plane seat and filled with booze, in some cases, than from a jab. Mostly political judgements made not common sense and some “expert” playing the numbers game. Too many negatives and not enough positives from people who should know better. There is no 100% cure now, to morrow or next year but let us be grateful we can save tens of thousands of lives in the meantime. Hopefully our brilliant scientist in the Pharma companies will improve the statistic some more

ParticipantIt could be said that Jose inherited a poor squad but you have to work with what you have and I would have thought a good manager could handle that. However, once players do not respond to the manager , problems will always arise but I never like to see players dominating a Manager/Club. They get paid enough to play football not political football. Jose will be well paid when he leaves and the final with City in a few weeks should tell us something….or maybe not!!

ParticipantNil.. I do nothing Rodgers would benifit going to Spurs, heis OK wherehe is for at least another season then may look at the possibilities but Leicester are better than Spurs at the moment apart from end of season wobble, he needs to sort that out. Good manager

ParticipantThe players drafted in for the Leeds game need to learn something from the game, if not, they are no use to City. However, part of the situation was that there were too many changes to start with. I can accept changes but if the idea was to give maximum rest to as many as possible then it just did not work. Better to have made3/4 changes then used subs after 45 mins but at least have a midfield that can control the game, as in previous games. Game over, we move on and hopefully have learned something, Leeds certainly did and good luck to them. I think though that Pep will now have completed his list of leavers at the end of the season

ParticipantCity were careless and wasteful. I understand Pep wanted to rest players but why so many? Leeds were brave and took the few chances they had, we did not create enough or take the chances we had. Bounce back time, game over, just annoying we threw away the points

ParticipantWell done Leeds, they had a plan, we were careless and wasteful. Our back up team not good enough with so many changes, no doubt we will refocus for next week but we cannot have many more poor performances like this, somebody has to start shooting at goal other than defenders.
Game over, Dortmund next_____________________________

ParticipantNine…I think that just about sums it up. Nil’s word. ONLY” as applied to Liverpool in his original comment was overstated. I can understand how he feels but the problem does is deeper. Like any problem solutions can be found or not Time will tell. Liverpools future, just like any other club is in there own hands and history is for the books not the next match

ParticipantMikus….a good way of looking at it although in my mind they are entirely different type of players, world class I agree. I actually think Gundogan is the nearest to Silva we have, hallways keeps the ball moving and mostly forward

ParticipantReally happy KDB has signed a new contract, he is well settled in Manchester with his family and sees no reason to move anywhere else.
Moos, as for Sterling, as good as he is on his day he is loosing consistency, so pep will not give him automatic choice. I think we could do better, Sane was a better player but again lacked consistency.
The young lad in the academy is the one to watch for Palmer, I think that his name._____________________________

ParticipantNine…it is often cited that City did not replace Kompany and that was there only downfall last season. I never agreed with that, however, I thought Liverpool would have learned from that but I also think they started to loose focus when the league was won towards the end of the season, this carried over and replacements not found when VD and Gomez went down the situation became much worse. Liverpool are a strong club and I am sure they will come through this spell but maybe not with the same players. Just another fans view
