Nobody’s going to really be a long-term plan in which the intention should be to preserve Tottenham Identity, be successful, purely by Trophies, and build a Legacy.
With Levy, it’s it’s unlikely.

Nine, haha, yeah I know mate; I wanted to go against the grain with an alternative 11 🙂 I have Havertz in my mind as one of the selected indivduals 🙂
Cheers

The wicket from the opening bowl of today’s play epitomizes N Zealand’s zest and quality. They have been superb.
England look more in the direction at the moment in following on.

I don’t know why Bamford wasn’t selected, but it proves my inner thoughts in the FPL unable to think beyond Sky 4. Every other season it’s pretty much the same with syrup poured over on how great they are and essentially it’s boring.
Rated Stuart Dallas and Declan Rice, they’ve come along away. Real shame about Grealish’s injury.

Really sad for one of our own to be injured for the EUROS. Heartbreaking for Trent.
I don’t know if Jordan will even play.

Ah well it’s just an accolade. What does anyone’s opinions really matter be it here there and anywhere.

It comes across as selections geared only towards certain teams. That’s not what football is about. Disconnection.

I don’t agree with it.

When the 11th batsman is hitting 6 and 4 stylishly, that in itself speaks volumes – Wagner.
Conway reaches 200 runs. It’s clearly a playing surface for the batsman and hadn’t it not been for the work of Robinson, the Kiwis would have hit more.
All out, finally.

We were randomly at work talking about this on the day of the Europa final on certain players being selected with one of the reasons being to versatility, or in TAA’s case, the modern full-back.
He could be out, so who would we use as cover?

I thought at one point, Tyrone Mings was heading for the sidelines. TAA injury not good, but hopefully a quick recovery.
One more left now, Sunday.

Nine/Lucky,
that’s the key Gents to try and build something from your success. There is hope and potential. It’s essentially thinking broadly about the challenges faced and what plans are in place and the steps needed moving forward;
Hold on to what you have and be Proud.
Cheers

Hello Brian, Hope you’re Good.
I was luckily free this morning before my shift to watch the play up to around Lunchtime. It really did feel at home. I liked the commentary too – I was thinking Mike Atherton was one of the co-commentators
Yeah, it’s the whole reengaging of Test Cricket. New Zealand have had a very productive day close of play so lots of work to be done.
I don’t know whether I’ll be watching right the way through even with a day off work as I have a pending job to clear the Garden shed and go to the nearest tip 😀

The confidence is good to see and deserving too. Without the slightest intent of putting any dampener on this what so ever, what I made a point of in my last post was that everything was done to the optimum based on tactics, but most importantly having the availability and the right players to implement your style of play and be able to handle the opposition.
Depth needs to be considered. And using this Huge Triumph to build from going into next season and trying to continue the momentum. Not easy and no team really should be discredited as such if they can’t live up to those heights.

I have this thought of ‘Wedding’ attributing to Chelsea because everything effectively last Saturday went without a glitch. I knew this in my mind right from the start because of his Managerial background and his achievements, plus the Teams he’s managed.
With that in mind, am I right in thinking though the thought of knowing your best 11 to execute a game plan and having the availability of players in the first place?
Kante provided balance, but he’s not always been available due to injury. What has changed in recent months for Chelsea is the identity and a structure of the right jigsaw pieces to occupy the essential playing positions. A Positive.
Without squad depth however, it’s difficult to uphold the consistency over a 38 game period in which Man City proved with their abundance of quality.
A huge platform to work from for Chelsea, and can challenge for the Title next season, though there are strands of factors to be mindful of.

Pep tried to accommodate both Gundogen and KDB and both are advanced midfielders. They needed Fernandinho. The actual threaded ball played to Havertz encapsulates that point.
My only other question and doubt was John Stones. I’m sure La Porte was available.
These players above all are tried and tested and we can’t be over critical, but when picking individuals like Sterling and Mahrez, the tactics implemented are fairly predictable. E.g. ball over the top or in small pockets on the deck around that 6 yard area. Even with KDB, there are rarely long range efforts.
This is similar to how Liverpool press, playing in small pockets looking for gaps and spaces, opposition teams will study and have you sussed out. Tuchel essentially got the better of Pep on the night.

I didn’t know both sets of Gallaghers were in Porto. Not often at all does that happen. What if City had won? Pep might have tried to reunite them 🙂

Completely Agree Moos.
Some teams’ Supporters in their lifetime don’t get to experience any glory.
The Media certainly don’t help creating discussions about Quadruples. So what if you don’t win everything.
Manchester City have 2 Trophies one of which, The Premier League Title which in itself is a Fantastic Achievement and The League Cup – Double. Never to underestimate.
Chelsea fully deserved their win – defense were Textbook so good at reading the game.
