Alfie, the reason why that’s happening is because commentators and pundits make a point of it. That attitude needs to change.
I dont see it in Cricket for example. Take as long as you need, but let’s get it nailed like the dvla.
What I am interpreting is offside. That’s communicated between ‘A’ and ‘B’, only for ‘C’ to intervene and point out, ‘hold on, its inside.
The game was right to restart, but the correct correction hadn’t been made.

What a shambles.
It just seems so rushed without any moment of pause making it look incoherent.
Yet the time taken to review a particular tackle leading to a sending off…..
Love my club for really showing some backbone and courage to exercise this and not take it lying down.
Honestly, this has opened the floodgates. And if this grows to be an epidemic which is what it is in danger of based on the number of incorrect decisions, then more other clubs going forward will take the route in challenging this.
If this progresses legally, these people should be taken to the cleaners and rightly so.

Shocking. He knows he’s f up and he’s f. He didn’t even carry out a check. It’s like moving in to a busy lane before checking your mirror and indicating! 🙉

Yes Chucks! :-D, I have this image of you laying out a blanket in the park somewhere and enjoying a Picnic – possibly the only Spurs fan! 😉

I would be interested in some data collated comparing the leagues where VAR is used against the other mainstream leagues in England and thereafter mainstream Europe.
Who and where are there the most inaccurate calls made.

It’s either VAR or the subject of HS2 😉

They are not releasing the audio apparently.
“Check Complete” When no checks or lines were even carried out in public viewing!
Doh!

Shines, I’d say at a push award a point each. Replay won’t happen. In all honesty it wouldn’t be right with the 2 sendings off.
Best to leave it as it is. I am glad though Pool officially are pushing hard on this and not letting it go. What I would wish for is the VAR ruling to be redesigned, transparent with audio and rethink the offside rule so that there aren’t these silly lines, armpits etc.
Significant improvement needed and I hope this weekend everybody connected are under scrutiny.

Shines, I’d welcome a Replay. 11 versus 11.

Chucks, it’s not the model itself but those operating it and lack of transparency. Why Stockley Park. Why not have a panel sat on the gantry? It’s easy and not that hard. They are making a mountain out of it at times, and they are still getting it wrong best of times. ⚽️🕹

Adlab, I think there was a few weeks back an issue at Villa with a penalty call. VAR etc took forever sorting it out.
I’m pretty sure just this season alone with only 7 weeks in, there’s more problems inflicted than resolutions where fans of the game whoever they support have felt good about Var and Refereeing.😕

That is a good point raised on here CM. Looks as though this is going to be investigated. A conflict of interest.
I’ve never seen since the inception of VAR anything so smeared and cross-wired. It’s unbelievable that the process wasn’t followed as it should have been.
The model and framework has unraveled I’m sure doubt in competency and trust.

Alfie, that’s the one mate. You are spot-on. That is in essence their job.
I don’t think going forward, the operation should take place at Stockley Park. All it needs is somebody in the ground. Any of the Pundits can do it. No special training needed, but of course the knowledge and the rules of the game.
Those lines I’ve seen are often bent against the perimeter of the actual pitch.

Sean, I am proud mate of our boys. Love them to bits. Klopp’s tactics/strategy with 9 men nearly paid off. Spurs stadium of fans grew in frustration. It took a Matip own goal to break down the chess game of 11 versus 9.
I’ll take defeat. What I won’t accept is incompetency when various broadcasting networks of their pundits have all agreed that the goal should have stood.
Arteta had the same with an Apology, but that doesn’t bring back the points lost.
We could have been Top of The Table, Second with a Draw. 2 Occasions too we have lost to City by 1 point.
These decisions in reality are VITAL.

Weird. Apparently, there were numerous bodies in handling of VAR and there was some kind of communication breakdown between pitch-side and Stockley Park. Someone thought the goal originally stood. But the Linesman was the one that flagged for offside cutting short Luis Diaz’s celebration.
Somebody wasn’t paying attention and taking care at all.

Do all Managers get invited via Conference teams call or a meeting of some nature, to be allowed a platform to discuss these operations and whether or not they are working?
Surely they should be able to put forward sensibly their input.
Stockley Park is not on the actual ground. The groundsmanship on Spurs was immaculate the lines or divisions were accurate for everybody to see.
No need for any further lines. Those above in the gantry can see.
Too much time forensically faffing around trying to look for a problem which spells in itself that the matter isn’t clear and obvious.
