Yep very much looking forward to West Ham vs Chelsea.

Don’t fancy Utd for 3 points at Leeds. Leeds are unbeaten against the Super League teams at home so hard to see us winning there. Utd are unbeaten away, on the other hand, so a point would seem likely.

Whilst credit is due to Bayern and Dortmund they’re fans owned Clubs and they would never have got that proposal past a fans dominated ownership, immense kudos to PSG for not getting involved though when they clearly could have.

So are Barca though and they jumped onboard quick enough. I’m no expert on the various intricacies of fan ownership but I don’t see the difference.

Spot on Lucky. I don’t doubt the Americans sold the dream to the others but they’re every bit as responsible for this mess by blindly tagging along and not taking a stance ala the German clubs and PSG.

There were 6 instigators behind all this Nine and we all know the names of the clubs. None of these clubs can hide behind “well he started it”. If indeed there were driving forces amongst the 12, it merely shows how cowardly the others have acted in just tagging along blindly.

Completely agree with your last sentence, finger pointing by anyone involved in the 6 clubs is, frankly, laughable and helps nobody.

I don’t believe it either Lucky. If Bayern, PSG and co had the courage to not get involved, they’re the only clubs to come out of this smelling of roses. If clubs really cared about the fans like they’re now claiming to, they’d have consulted them ahead of getting involved. Anything else is a feeble and shameful attempt at saving face.

You do have to laugh Nine. “…now that we’ve had time to consider the matter fully…”. So they just went into it without thinking about it?! Embarrassing from all 6 clubs involved. Very pleasing to see fans of all these 6 clubs uniting in their disgust at these owners and their decisions. There are going to be some very shameful attempts at face-saving these coming days and the PR departments will be working overtime to win back the trust of the supporters.

Sounding like all the English clubs were paid an awful lot of money by Uefa to pull out and force the others’ hands. The 6 PL clubs actions should never be forgotten.

Don’t be fooled by any PR spin that your clubs had a change of heart because they care about the fans. This was an unforgivable act of greed and power which will live long in the memories of us “legacy fans”.

The only moral high ground here belongs to those European giants who refused to take part. Bayern, Dortmund, PSG etc. Kudos to those.
