Yeah he is Talented but Man UTD is where Talent goes to die …
Also Wilcox was brought in for his footballing Knowledge but seems to have done a few things right like Sesko over Watkins and Sammens over Martinez because if Amorim had his way in the next 2years we would be looking for a replacement for Watkins and Martinez hence another cycle

@Happy Mate … You don’t seem to understand why we are complaining now … there’s a decent team in that Squad Capable of us not been trounced 3-1 by Brentford or not having a negative Goal difference with insipid dire performances.

Put players in their natural position.. tactical tweaks or adjustments when we seem to not be playing well, dropping whoever has a stinker, make better substitutions, have a defined way of playing both offensively nd defensively etc that’s all we are asking from Amorim and there’s actually not one of the above listed that he has delivered so yeah we do deserve to complain our asses off.

Also when was the last time we actually did compete at the top level 🤣🤣

We haven’t been at the top level since Fergie left. We had two flash in the pan 2nd place finishes under Jose and Ole but realistically we haven’t been a top level team for over a decade. That’s as much to do with how the club is managed as it is with how the team is managed.

Point is, with players like Sesko and Lammens we are planning for the future not today. But people want it all today. This is why i said we need to readjust the expectations for the season and be realistic. Which is where i’m at! 🙂

I haven’t come across a non-realistic UTD fan currently… we all know we are no where near winning titles or competing at the top but the bare minimum should be some consistency in actually beating teams we ought to beat… and the consistency should come from the manager too not just the players..

@Happy name one thing Amorim has successfully achieved since he got the JOb for about a Year now … just one thing … don’t bloody mention he got rid of the Bomb squad because those guys were already on their way out regardless

Blacky – Ha ha yeah, well i was angry after that result and obviously poisoned by the toxic bile on here!! Bruno fucked that game for us (as he did against Fulham) we should have been 2-2 and i don’t think we lose the game from there. So i was annoyed!
Fulham was a shocking penalty miss as well. It’s not hard to imagine us having 3 more points on the board from those games. We’d be sitting pretty in 5th with Man City then. Robbed of a point on the opening day to Arsenal as well. So 4 more points – we’d be joint 3rd and 2 points off the top.
I think those fine margins are the difference at the moment, a bit of luck and hopefully some consistency will follow. Between our away game at Palace at the end of November and the Manchester Derby mid-January we have a 8 very winnable/drawable league games;

West Ham (H)
Wolves (A)
Bournemouth (H)
Villa (A)
Newcastle (H)
Wolves (H)
Leeds (A)
Burnley (A)

That’s the run of games that will decide the season i think. Should be aiming for 20 points from those games.

Dee – One thing that Amorim has done well since he came in? Hmmm, tricky question!! 🙂
Well i guess we stopped conceding goals from set pieces in EVERY SINGLE GAME!

that Newcastle game is a none starter but we could be in all the other games, happy. I think a more realistic point total from them is 11 though. we just don’t have a midfield, regardless of manager or system. I don’t understand why people say it’s the system that’s the problem. when was the last time we had ONE quality midfielder, let alone two or three?

They’re saying Connor Gallagher on loan in January is most likely. Maybe he will be the energy and legs we need in midfield to get us CL football next season? Then we go big in the summer.
If Dorgu isn’t going to cut it at left wingback, though, that becomes a priority position in the summer too.

This the Atletico that beat Real 5-1 a few weeks ago? Bought a lot of players over the summer and still finding their feet but I wouldn’t say in decline. Gallagher could be useful for the second half of the season. A loan with option to buy of anything, if they try to include an obligation to buy then I’d refuse to deal.

Yep, the team that are already 8 points behind a Real Madrid side who themselves are way off their previous standards, and who shipped 4 goals at Arsenal last week and who have also failed to beat several Spanish canon fodder teams already this season. Either way, Gallagher is shite.
