One player who goes under the radar is David silva. Never been in a pl end of season 11. Astonishing. A pl great. Super little player.

I’m sure all city fans love him. There’s never much talk about him in papers.

Pogba will come good but it’s plain to see Jose doesn’t trust him in a midfield two in tough games. Why change things at stoke when Utd were doing well with mata in the side?

Stoke is a tough place to go but if you are serous about a title challenge you need to grind a win out. I thought Utd could have been braver. Stuck with the team that had won 3 games in a row. Sahko was part of a defence that shipped many goals. It systematic aswell as poor play from our defenders. Not one defender can buy into the way klopp wants to play. There either through poor defensive coaching or the players not taking in what klopp is saying

We do lack a proper leader back there. Someone who will organise and get stuck into players for silly mistakes. We need an organiser, a talker. It’s shambolic at times

Just couldn’t get over the optimism for Everton doing well. They spent 80m on 3 number ten. Gifi already is being played wife left. He needs to be number ten. Keane well over rated. Easy Utd win

First real concern of the season with Liverpool. No mane and Burnley will sit tight. Can see really dropping points in this

I fully understand the issues with our defence. It shoukd be much better after two years and the decision to keep playing Moreno is baffling.

We needed two centre backs never mind one. I was all for ox coming as we did need another wide player. Mane is our now so he shoukd come in as firmino has to stay through the middle as he is not effective out wide
Still we need a centre back so badly that it shoukd have taken priority over ox

I’m not as downbeat as some after a month of the season were we have lost one game. A time to panic is if we have two months like last Jan and Feb not 4 weeks into the season

Valid points nine but it shows how close we are then. As you say, if we learn to defend then we be up there so we really aren’t that far away. The way some are going you would swear the season was over. First step was to get into cl group stages and we did

This is klopps 2nd full season. He picked up a shambles. Got us to two finals. There has been serous progression. People forgot the Hodgson era and how crap we have been previously

I dint get this to be honest. Falling short? We qualified for the cl in effectively klopps 1st full season and his first window. What do people expect?

No one gave us a chance of top 4 last season. We are professing. We have lost one game this season. A game we were in until the sending off. City are a top top side and they will hammer a lot of teams this season. We all know our problems and that is down to klopp. He chairs the back 4 to much. We try to play like spurs. A high line but the players just don’t know how to play it.spurs play it to perfection. None of the back 4 are in sync. Lovren either Steps forward or back. The full backs are always looking to go forward. Cities first goal shows our failings.

I’m surprised klopp hasn’t been sent to the stands yet. He does be going mad and running a muck at officials. He needs to relax.

As for the plane and asking for klopp to go, it’s just embrassing. We need stability. We can keep changing managers. Even if we finish outside the top 4 he shoukd stay. No way shoukd we be competing with Utd, city or Chelsea. We certainly won’t win the league.

You would swear we had lost all our hands this season. We are were we shoukd be. Ridiculous talk. We have certainly professed since klopp game.

It’s all about cementing a place in the top 4 and a domestic trophy. Liverpool fans need to be patient and get behind the team and manager. I love watching us even if our defending is annoying. We kept 4 clean sheets in a row at the end of last season when we were really in trouble of drilling out of the top 4. Lots of positives for Liverpool fans. Anyone expecting a league challenge is not being realistic.

It’s about getting cl football on a regular basis then looking to move on. Not sure how we are supposed to compete with Chelsea, city or Utd to be honest.

Chelsea are in the position they are money wise as they could afford to sell the likes of mata, kdb, lackau and many more top players. They use their money sensibly now but their massive spending over the years has helped them even today.

They get crazy money for their players which is great business

Couthino hasn’t trained probably in weeks. He will play a part soon. He played a few mins fir Brazil here and there but I’m sure he will be back in the squad soon especially since mane is out

Nine, any sane minded Liverpool doesn’t think we can win the league

We are a very good side and we will challenge for the top 4. You love net spend and did convert me lol so klopp has a net spend of 29m. If we get top ahead then it’s more progress. Our aim should be cementing a top 4 place for a few years and winning a domestic trophy then we can build from there.

It’s one defeat. We were well in the game until the sending off but I agree with jim. The lack of fight and klopp giving up was poor. You knew by the subs klopp was taking players off with Seville game in mind

Problem is, at the back we have no leader. No one knows what they are doing. We play offside and a high line yet it looks like the defence has no idea how to play that system spurs play it to a tee. It’s either the coaching or the defence is always chopped and changed.

I’ve no doubt we will have a good season. This is one set back which we will get over

Stoke haven’t started to badly. Big test for Utd but I expect them to win. Same with Chelsea and spurs. I really don’t think Everton have bought that well. Keane and sigursdon are well over priced and if sigursdon is played wide then it’s crazy. He has to play number ten but that’s were Rooney has been playing

City could steamroll anyone at anytime. Liverpool certainly have a chance but it will depend on who defends better. Just hope we don’t concede to early

I agree Paxton. I’ve no time for it. I’d like ireland to qualify as it’s always an excuse for a night out when they are playing but they are absolutldy dire to watch.

I think this is a really week English side when you consider Livermore starts some games. I like the tournaments as it means football just the summer but I hardly take an interest in the qualifiers. So boring and England and Ireland get hammered in the press no matter how they do. It’s crazy such a big nation like England has Southgate as manager. Shows there’s no out there or the fa haven’t a clue at what they are doing

Hi Jim, hope you are keeping well mate.

This should be a cracker. I can’t see many teams going to the ethiad and playing city at their own game but I’m sure we will. Both teams play a high line which is a risky strategy and there will be loads of chances.

City have some team on paper but I believe our starting 11 can beat anyone. I fancy city or Utd for the league but Chelsea can’t be ruled out either.

You must be excited by some of cities signings. Bernardo silva is absolute quality. I think we can win but it’s such a tough place to go. Whoever defends best will win. 1-1 for me which I would take all day
