So, only three games tonight and the Huddersfield vs Liverpool game is on my box… can Pool make it 3 in a row? Or perhaps lightening might strike twice at the Liberty Stadium? Sod’s law says Spam vs Eagles will be the game of the night, with two walkovers in the other games… but who knows!

Big J… considering I watch Spuds a lot more than you do, I can safely say there has certainly been a few “naughty” tackles against our lads. This isn’t “reserved” for City… you need to take a chill pill mate, already mentioned the 50 (or is it 65 now?) was a bit toungue in cheek!

Along with this net spend limit, I’d also like to see a limit on squad size too, one in one out so to speak, perhaps a limit of 30 players over 21 per club or something like that (I was literally typing that as I was thinking it!)

As a Spud-lover, have to say there isn’t a lot of fizz in my beans about this Moura chap. I mean, “only” (cough) 25 million and we aren’t exactly beating the competition with a stick. Can he really be all that?

Mind you, don’t watch the French League, so never seen him play…and the last few lads from France didn’t exactly cut the mustard, any of them.

Big J… nobody is condoning it, and no, spunking 50 million on a replacement was a tongue in cheek comment, my point is (and I’m pretty sure we’ve had this debate before), every team has players who have gone in over the top, your team is no different, and playing the “Nobody loves us, everybody hates us” record is getting a bit thin.

Probably right Raymondo, but I have to wonder if that were to happen, what would happen to international football? Because I somehow suspect the only card left to play is to ban players in would could be unsanctioned leagues from playing in international football, the national FA’S, UEFA and FIFA are going to want to have their cake and eat it too…

Just a bump for this one…

I was reading a bit more about FFP2.0, it seems rather than link everything to income which is obviously not working, they’re going for a simple “NET SPEND” on transfers approach, with the number of 90 million loss per year being floated about. This would mean if a club spends 200million, they have to sell at least 110 million to stay within the 90 million loss.

Not the worst idea, certainly better than the current system I think.

That “story” has been popping up on a few places (and already denied by BT). I certainly hope it isn’t true and there is a much more “realistic” reason why there was so little added time at the end of the first half.

Another point that may be worth discussing, didn’t one of the Baggie players pick-up a hamstring injury right after a VAR Timeout? I wonder if the hanging around on a cold wintry night may have had anything to do with it?

You’re right Nil, he didn’t just fall casually to the ground, he managed to fall whilst flicking up both ankles and flinging both arms around in the air like he had been electrocuted… 🙂

We can agree or more likely disagree on whether that was a penalty or not (I still say not), but if you’re going to try and tell me Salah didn’t make a 3 course 5 star meal out of it then I’m going to have to call you rude names and remind you that NKOTB are a bunch of twats.
