Didn’t you lot get Frimpong as well?
But, yeah, Pool are certainly “winning” the transfer window right now… already looking stornger.
And get Isak too (plenty of clickbait), and the rest of us are already playing for 2nd.

Pity all you new buggers showed up when there isn’t much to talk about… π
Transfers are all click bait and don’t think even the Jammy Todgers and the 115 Brigade care much about the Club World Cup nonsense…

Lot of interweb nonsense about Eze signing… a lot more than usual… think this one might have legs.

Goonies or YooUtd don’t have it easy, need to hit the ground running… not that YooUtd have a sniff of the title, but the Goonies might find themselves playing catch up before the Champions League even starts…
YooUtd on the other hand… bottom half come Helloween… won’t just be Buffy’s willy coming out… they’ll be baying for blood, those Essex boys…
Quite amusing, to me at any rate, INEOS fella seems to be an even bigger douchΓ© bag than the Glazers… (pity he didn’t buy the Jammy Todgers, is all I can say!)

Instead of having the legendary good Spuds vs bad Spuds showing up every week, but playing in a rigid formation, we’re now going to have don’t even know what formation will be showing up Spuds, mixed in with good Spuds vs bad Spuds… π
Surely we should get 40 points?? Right?
Or will be a case of the 3 newly promoted teams struggling big time and will be lucky to hit even 30!

Always a tough guess anyway, and even harder when you consider the amount of players who are likely to switch clubs… but, for now, I’d guess…
1) Pool, have got or about to get some quality players in, already the squad looks stronger…
2) Goonies, still the best of the rest, and have no chance of catching Pool unless the go all in on a proper striker… read somewhere they didn’t have a single player reaching double digits for goals in the Prem, they need at least one who get 20 plus to have a shout…
3) 115, what with the club world cup and in the middle of a re-build, can see them dropping too many points in the first half of the season to threaten the Top2.
4) Now it really turns into Mystic Meg time… could really be anybody from Jammy Todgers, Bone Saw Boyz, Villa (can’t see Forest doing that well again, not with playing on Thursdays to be added into the mix)And then everybody else taking points of each other so from about 8th to 15th is anybody’s guess, might as well throw darts at a picture of Buffy’s bottom.

I like holding things…
Frankie does seem to be a decent man-manager, and compared to out last 3 managers, a lot more flexible in his approach and happy to tinker with tactics… and plenty of rumors about Levy dusting off the check book, but I guess we’ll have to see how much of that is click-bait…
Anyway, “proper” fixtures out…. I know, at the end of the day, everybody plays everybody, but not the “hardest” of starts with only 1 “Top7” team in the first 7 fixtures, not the “hardest” Christmas period with only 1 “Top7” team (don’t want to ruin Christmas!) and only 2 “Top 7” teams in the last 8 games… not the “hardest” of run-ins either…
November and February are looking “rough” mind you…
Nevermind, onwards and upwards!!!
I know bumming off the league after Christmas skewed our League position, still thinking we should quite easily be Top 10, and with a couple of top draw signings and an emptier injury room, maybe even Top7!

Don’t even have it on Finnish TV.. which is a shame, not bothered now but when the knock-outs start, could be interesting….

Been watching a lot of “Youtube” video’s, many seem to think Frank is quite an adaptable manager, changes formations regulary depending on the opps, gets that extra 10% from average players, know’s how to spot a bargin, excellant coaching his team for the different formations, and very highly thought of within the game.
Must admit, like the idea of having an “adaptable” manager in the dugout for a change, rather than the Conte/Maureen/Angie “my way or the highway” inability to change their “philosophy” approach.
The proof will be in the pudding, I guess!

So, the worst kept secret in football is now not a secret…
Still don’t know what to truly think, heart still says Angie deserved a crack at the CL, but my head also says we would be in some serious trouble come November and having this dance then…
Eitherway, what’s done is done, and Angie has his place in the Spuds folklore now…
Let’s see what Frank can do!!

Bloody hell, just read an article on the Guardian, suggesting they’re (FIFA!) are already considering expanding this new club world cup, which hasn’t even kicked off yet, from 32 to 48 teams in time for the 2029 editon…
And I thought Buffy on a Friday night was shameless (especially 1.5 snakebites!)…

Joking aside, it is too much football, quantity over quality means quality will always suffer…
(and those poor babies having to travel the world first class to kick a ball about!)
My biggest issue is why America? And the “proper” World Cup next year!!
At least give it to a proper “Footballing” nation…. but money talks!
(Should have held it in London with it’s 15 or so stadiums, now, that would be fun)

Yeah, I bet those buggers are all crying in their multi-million dollar mansions wishing they had a shitty 9-5 job like mine where it would take most of them about 6 years to make what they make in a week now (if they’re on supposed Harry Kane money!)
Call an abulance, my heart is bleeding… π π π

Part of me does think it’s better than the old “version”, at least it does have a bunch of teams rather than the 6 or 7 the old system had… and not much else on the box… π
Totally agree about player burnout… be interesting to see how the 115 and Jammy Todgers start the season, can see a lot of changes/rotations for the first few weeks… good for those playing them in the Prem!!
I reckong it’s like the Charity Shield or Super Cup… it only counts if you’re in it…

Hard to argue with any of that, Foxy…
Sideways step at best and does leave questions about Danny-boys ambition.
Of course, we would love it, (I mean we as Spud-lovers!), if Frank turned out to a top-top-draw manager and the limits he reached at Brentford were simply due to the size of his surroundings, i.e. took them as far as he realisticly could….
But somehow how I think we’re looking at a “CL” footy if we’re lucky and decent cup runs each season… won’t be bothering the Top3 for a while…
At the end of the day, not a lot I can do except cheer from my armchair, or those rare occassions I’m under the pier with Buffy.

Well, he’s certainly leaving a legacy behind…really not too sure how I feel about it…
So, Frank seems to be the “favourite”…really not sure how I feel about that either…
