He was brilliant against Utd in pre-season. As you’ve both said, he’ll definitely struggle to break into that midfield at the moment. A loan move might do him good.
As we’ve seen with Jack Grealish, Jack Wilshere, Josh Mceachran, Tom Cleverly, Michael Johnson etc, it’s important at this early stage to not overhype these young players. Hopefully he goes on to fulfil his massive potential, though.

I thought I had it bad in Stockholm. £40 for 2 pints?!

Couldn’t catch the London Derby. Is it a boring 0-0 game or has it been a good one? Either way, happy with the score and hope it stays 0-0!

All good points on Pogba. Sean, you’re right on us needing to be braver in these games. I’d always take a draw away at Stoke but you still want to see your team go for the win.
Like others have said, I think give him a couple of years and he’ll really come into his own and start to shine

What an incredibly frustrating game that must have been Banjo! Spurs and Liverpool stats aren’t too dissimilar. Complete domination by the home side but no way through

Let’s hope so Jim. About 3 or 4 City lads signed up over the last few days so I hope they start posting. We need a bigger variety of voices on here

Yeah things are certainly looking good for City, Jim. Today did nothing to allay my fears about City running away with the league this year, although it’s still too early to declare a winner just yet.
It will be interesting to see how long Pep plans on staying. I can’t see him going after three years as it feels like he’s only just getting started. He left Barca after winning absolutely everything multiple times and Bayern felt less of a project than City. Bayern were already a European heavyweight who needed a tweak here and there.
City seems to be more of a long term project. The goal with Bayern was to keep on winning the league and to dominate Europe again. At City, it’s a much longer term goal. It’s about making the step up from big European club to elite club where European success is almost expected.
As much as I hope he’ll be gone in 3 years, I just can’t see it!

The stats suggest it’s all one way traffic, that’s for sure. I’m sure Liverpool will get the win they need but it’s a game Liverpool should really be winning more convincingly. Liverpool seem to have a real problem against the smaller sides and yet I’d never back any of the big sides to beat Liverpool. Their style of play seems to be much more effective against the bigger sides who come at Liverpool.

Palace definitely face a real uphill struggle from here. @Rob, that’s an interesting stat. You certainly wouldn’t vet against them not scoring for at least another3 games then.
Looks like another one of those games against the smaller sides at home which Liverpool often struggle with. I’m sure they’ll get a winner in the second half though.
City just looking so strong again. I’m really not looking forward to facing them. That Aguero/Jesus combination is looking deadly!

Crusty, slowly but surely the numbers are picking up. It’s important that posts are coming in regularly from the members we have so that visiting posters are encouraged to join in. As you say, once the numbers get up, it should be a decent place to come and talk football!

Yeah you don’t actually lose any points. It’s just that the average is calculated live, so if you’ve made another week of predictions which are yet to be scored, the average will take into account those predictions even though those matches haven’t happened yet, if that makes sense.
For example, if you’ve predicted 20 scores and 10 of those matches haven’t yet taken place, your average will be total points divided by 20,even though only 10 matches have taken place!
So, as Banjo says, on a Monday the avg points column is accurate. It’s also reliant on me having filled in the actual scores. I haven’t updated the game from last night yet.

Yeah definitely early days Jim, but you don’t get a lot of time these days to get it right. I was expecting more from Rooney this season too. I know he’s really declined the last few years but I thought this move “back home” would have got him going again. I fancy him to score at Old Trafford though
