Gakpo, an absolute beast of a player at international level, 23 goals (so far) in 52 games.
And a key linchpin on the left in our recent title win, 18 goals in all competitions.
I wonder where Iraola wull see him playing though, or even if he’ll keep him. To me he’s more of a striker, as wingers tend to be smaller, faster and far more nimble, like Rio or Muñoz.

Song, I would keep Gakpo. A very useful player for our attacking unit. Maybe once we fill the winger spots that Iraola maybe OK with Gakpo rotating with Isak until Ekitike is fit?

Depends on what Iraola thinks, Rob, and how he wants us to play.
I prefer Gakpo as a striker, or as a backup winger, and he has that rare versatility of being able to play well in different positions, like Mané and Díaz did.

It’s a Jigsaw I’m sure for Iraola. Arnie seem to try and accommodate Gakpo one way or another.
It should really in essence be about selecting a group of players to map out a formation that’s functional, attacking and most of all getting the best out of everybody.

No 23 for Germany Nmecha has been tentatively linked to us and other PL teams. Think, might be wrong, but he counts as home grown due to his time at City’s academy? But also rumoured that Dortmund are asking a huge amount.
Seems doubtful to me unless again someone like Szoboszlai goes.

Jesus gakpo is awful through the middle.
Has one good game in ten. Not a huge fan at all. If we can get 50-60m for him great.
Wc has been excellent so far. Some great ganes and goals. Played at a lot faster pace then i thought as its so hot at times
