I still can’t believe Argentina found a way. Need to see what happens out of Switz and Columbia as one of those will face Messi and the gang.

No I can´t say the same about Kane and Mbappe, Messi was the first player at the tournament being able to cover his mouth and get away with it, he has also had a couple of yellow or red card offenses, then we got the goal Egypt scored tonight and was disallowed. I still have not heard a good excuse to as to why it was disallowed. Could we in theory have another final between England and Argentina? I think the only other candidates are Morocco and France IMHO.

Just finished watching instead Novak and the Canadian Guy. Memorable or what. That guy was one beast with his serve and return. The 39 year old Serbian however came out on Top when needed the most. One of the Greats it has to be said.

well done, I wanna point something out about penalties, I read a report and I kind of find this to be true. It was about the science of penalty kicks and especially penalty shoot outs. When a player steps up and does not look at the goal or the keeper he is gonna miss, if they can´t make eye contact with the keeper they have already lost the battle. There are subtle differences in how they approach a penalty and you can almost spot who is gonna miss and who is not, you can see who is afraid.
Then look at this shootout and tell me I am wrong or this report is wrong.

Another final between England and Argentina? There’s never been a final between them previously and if they both progress from the next round they meet in the semi final.
I think the semis will be France vs Spain and England vs Argentina with France beating Argentina in the final.
Hope I’m wrong and Norway and Morroco continue to upset the odds.

Congrats meanwhile to Jannik Sinner winning back-to-back Wimbledon Titles. Reminds me of a young Pete Sampras of the mid 1990s with his style. A very calm and a humble bloke too so it seems and respectful to his opponent Alexander Zverev who himself did try and push Sinner make no mistake.

Read that between England’s goal and Argentina’s winner, England has 17% possesion. It was the purest example of get a one nil lead and hope you hang on.
Tactics is and always will be the greater influence when compared to individual quality, for which I’d say England had the edge. Some shocking decisions by Tuchel.
Regarding MacAllister, he had a very good game and is having a good tournament. Notice where he plays, faily high up where he can use his short passing ability, and that he always has a sitting DM behind him. Not sure he suits Iraola, but play to his strengths he is a very good player. Play him in a system where he needs to run back and he’s pretty terrible.
The other semi, how good were Spain? Tactically spot on, the definition of control.

Luis de la Fuente is a Football Professor and a Tactical Genius. Possibly the best football manager in the world at the moment.

Macca cares way more about his national team than his employees, he is a good player when up for it but he is not trying to prove himself at Anfield. Thankfully our only World Champion is our new recruit Munoz, who did not play much but got there on merit. I am not sure about Macca, he is a excellent player but the way he opted out of every dual last season hunts me. I will give him a 2nd chance but I am doubting him as a person and as a player. Cause I don´t think he cares too much for the club, I think he cares for his next contract.
