He is a superb striker, he is greedy and demands the ball, has a go at his team mates for not supplying him. I love that kind of attitude in a striker and we have not seen that for a while with all the false nines we have been playing with. Suarez and Sturridge had that mentality, I used to love seeing them having a go at each other for misplacing a pass or being too greedy for themselves and despite them butting heads out there 5-6 times a game they loved playing with each other.

10th June 2026 at 1:04 pm #248362Pitcb is always good at FC Dallas, Bingo. They use hybrid grass. Have actually coached ran keeper warm ups on the surface and it’s impeccable.

10th June 2026 at 1:20 pm #248363That is gonna give them a advantage, because most of the training pitches are utter shit, like wow they are so bad. I can´t even name which pitch is the worst cause they faulty in different ways, in the states the grass is failing and ball got no bounce to it. In Mexico Japan have one of the worst training facilities I have seen, even my boyhood club back home UMFS in Iceland got better facilities. https://verkis.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/12/Fjolnotaithrottahus-a-Selfossi.jpeg

11th June 2026 at 9:20 pm #248437Maybe I’m easily led, but have been impressed so far with the Mexico 22 year old ala Brian Gutiérrez. Really attacks into the heart of the defenders through the middle making those runs and willing to dribble.

13th June 2026 at 3:42 pm #248493Rob he has played plenty times with a injury, that´s the problem with him, so I don´t blame him for wanting to take it easy for a World Cup year.
Every club has suffered from the yo-yo effect in past seasons, we got City without a league trophy for two season for the first time forever now.
I doubt Arsenal can repeat what they did last season by going the distance to the final in the Champions League and taking the league. It´s not gonna happen, that season almost went perfect for them, with everyone else failing.
Imagine playing through injury and then losing out on the World Cup, cause there could have been games where he could have featured but he was still suffering from a injury or two and he is used to having a cable deputy to take over his role. I´m still not convinced by Marma as his distribution is so bad, his first touch is also so bad, he needs to work on that to be a reliable keeper at the top level in this league.
I think the comment is a bit out of context. I don´t doubt Alison for a second. He is the best keeper I have seen at the club, way above the rest. I actually think he is the best keeper in the history of the club as the keepers back then had other options that are not available right now.
Like picking up the ball from a pass and the fact that there was no offside rule, so there is more communication being asked from them, they have to be able to pass the ball and have a first touch.
Remember when Denmark won the Euros? It was probably the most anti football team ever to win a major tournament except Greece as well. Schmeichel picked up the ball about 90 times per game, then a counter was released where he threw the ball up to the midfield.

13th June 2026 at 4:28 pm #248495It’s the fact that Ali could’ve played for us and it’s the club and fans that are paying his wages plus we needed our senior leadership to be available for our precarious CL run in.
Virgil was overplayed, Mo was being Mo and all about Mo the brand and Ali preserving himself for ‘other work.’

13th June 2026 at 4:40 pm #248496I think he has played enough with injury, he got the determination to be there no matter what, if the club would not let him recover to be able to go to the biggest party in the world, we got to fault the club. He has been overplayed in the past, I think it´s a reference to that more than anything else. It is also probably one of the reason why he is staying, consider that. Some player will always put nation above club! It does not mean they are bad players, they just wanna live that dream. I would put Brazil down as the top 3 candidates to win the tournament right now.

13th June 2026 at 5:09 pm #248497A lot with Bingo on this. Although I agree with Rob’s point on commitment to Liverpool and we pay his salary, I don’t don’t doubt Ali’s ethics and morals.
If you think back to 2020/21, he resurrected our season or us with the sensational header at West Brom. He sadly lost his Father as well in that year.
I just think he wanted to be optimum for the WC. We had lots going on here anyway generating bad vibes and atmosphere in which even the paying Supporters could sense. It’s probably something in essence he wasn’t in a hurry to get back to and the way things have been, who could blame him!!

13th June 2026 at 7:13 pm #248499This would be the only trophy he has not achieved, this trophy also would mean more to him than any other trophy out there for him, I don´t wanna fault him for being in the best condition he can be in. I can´t and he is the kind of player I trust when he say he needed time to get ready, cause he has played with plenty injuries in the past. Even a broken foot I think in the past that just got hushed up because he just kept playing.
But you are right, it says a lot about the state of mind of a lot of the players this season, its like they took no chances. Just to be ready for the world cup as they were kind off guaranteed to be there on their past seasons.
I would not single out any one player though cause if we delve deeper into this as there are plenty players that had a unusual dip in form. With plenty of players dropping their dual rate to 20% instead of 50%.

13th June 2026 at 8:52 pm #248503This is like a miserable vibe and I’m not into miserable vibes. I am into Happy Vibes. We don’t need to single out Alisson. Van Dijk has been overplayed because quite frankly, the club didn’t Buy and Integrate 2 New Central Defenders whereby they could learn their Trade from Van Dijk.
I really don’t want to get into all of this as it just unravels a sorry reality state of affairs and creates unnecessary arguments, ego tripping, and everything else.
Summer. June. World Cup and just want to be living the Peaceful more Pleasant Days.

14th June 2026 at 10:16 am #248514Watched the first half of Morocco vs Brazil and thought Morocco were superb. Best player on the pitch was 18 year old Bouabbi. Anyone who plays Football Manager I am sure knows him, and we have been linked before to him as has most elite teams, but what a player he looks.
PSG, Bayen and Arsenal seem the front runners for him, but he looks exactly what we need in our team. MotD fever and all that, but he is widely respected as one of the ones to watch for the next generation.
And one stat to get Songman excited, 32 games in the Lille squad last season, with 28 starting, 2 as sub and 2 unused sub (2 missed through red card suspension) and not a single game missed through injury!

14th June 2026 at 11:16 am #248515Lol fell asleep after Vini’s goal. WOW! Wasn’t that a surprise, or was it?
That was looking like a good Brazil line up too with Ali. Don’t often see Brazil dropping points in those very early stages. Must be the heavy heat!!

14th June 2026 at 11:28 am #248517Morocco are ranked 7th in the world, only one place behind Brazil and ahead of the likes of Germany and the Netherlands. They are a seriously good team, seemingly better than the one that reached the semi’s last time.
Brazil look a shadow of previous teams especially in the forward line. The likes of Romario, Bebeto, Ronaldinho and of course Ronaldo now replaced with Raphinha, Paqueta and Igor Thiago. Only Vini Jr can be deemed as world class and even then there are some serous questions about his attitude.

14th June 2026 at 12:39 pm #248518So Thunderers from Downunderers secured a surprising 3 points against mini-groups top team… not seen highlights, but sounds like a very decent performance and a deserved victory from a relatively inexperienced side… bodes well!

14th June 2026 at 5:37 pm #248524Wirtz has always played on the left if Musiala is fit. He played left sided no 10 for Leverkusen. Pretty sure that was Bayerns thinking when they wanted him too.
For some reasons fans on here think lining up on the left means you must be a winger or wide attacker.
