Football is starting to dry up. I was trying to shun away for bogging myself down with a moan about kick off times, but this is where there could perhaps had been leverage on moving times. It would probably though put some of the more locally based fans’ noses out of joint. Particularly too if they’ve paid Top Dollar for these games.

The one thing I will say is that these people actually take note from the head of their government. We’ve had a fair few VAR decisions wrongly called, and our Refereeing standards seem to worsen than better.

The whole apartment building started fog horns over here. We just finished dinner but that was around midnight though, I love Spanish time. They are actually on the wrong time zone but it works out because it is way too hot at 1900 hours. It´s fine at 2100.

I can´t disrespect Ronaldo, he has proven what a great player he is, he is just unlucky that he lives in the shadow of Messi like any player has done for the last 2 decades. If Messi wins this tournament after retiring in USA I´m gonna call him greater than Maradona. I´m kind of rooting for Kane, the poor lad has gone through so much ridicule and he might bring that one trophy. That would be a lesson for the country but I doubt anyone would get it. Fantastic footballer, one of the best strikers ever! I would love to see him and prime R9 together, cause Kane likes to drop deep and create space on his own. Honestly I could see them each scoring 75 goals a season.

There have been so many bad decision made around this marketing cup, Balogun especially, I really liked how Brad Friedel spoke out against the decision but FIFA set the benchmark when they rescinded Ronaldo´s red card just before the World Cup. He should have been banned for the first 2 games at least. The treatment of the Iranian team was beneath anything I´ve seen at the cup. The advertisement breaks, the ticket prices, the stadium have yet to be filled up. There are always empty seats at every stadium. Then they moved fans around the stadium after they paid premium prices for tickets to sell more expensive tickets. We really need Infantino sacked today!

why call him names though? The dude loves the Liverpool fanbase after what we did when he last came to Anfield, he should have been suspended yes but why go after him instead of Infantino? We even backed him more up than the United fans after we found out what was bothering him.
This is FIFA corruption, not player corruption and it even came back to haunt them, imagine how they would have played the first 2 games if he was not there in the lineup. I doubt they would have struggled as much and he would have been much fitter for the Spain game. He is pretty old by now.
