it’s not whether we would stump up the money for barcola, just as it wasn’t with Anderson, nor (because of our manager vs there’s) Tonali. The better players would not come to united because we are not good at football and we don’t have a manager who’s a draw.

19th July 2026 at 2:35 pm #250861How the fuck is Di Zerbi a draw? Brighton were average under him, he made a complete balls of the Marseille job, he can’t coach a defence to save his life. Carrick at least took an average United team and got them into the CL. Carrick should be a bigger draw that di Zerbi

19th July 2026 at 3:28 pm #250865I think theyโd come if we paid the fee and wages bob, but I do think Carrick is a bit off putting.
I actually donโt like De Zerbi killy and youโre right, heโs won fuck all as far as I can remember, but heโs got personality, something Carrick is sorely lacking._____________________________

19th July 2026 at 4:20 pm #250872David Bellion, Jesus Christ Iโd totally forgotten about him. Tbh we have signed some absolute shite. Fuck me if Maverick ( where is he by the way? thinks Cunha and Mbeumo are useless. His head would explode watching players like Bellion. Also who was that bald headed French player signed who played on the right wing? He was another one

19th July 2026 at 4:29 pm #250874Your correct Jm1502, we didn’t want to pay the fee or the wages.
So how do we compete with the big teams if we refuse to pay for top players? Surely there must be a ceiling for players with potential and another for top players.

19th July 2026 at 5:44 pm #250884You’ve been buying decent players lately, I would just not get carried away and demand a run for the title. If you stabilize right now as a champions league club, the rest of Europe might have something to worry about.
You need a squad capable of 3 games a week at the highest level, you are not gonna win but if you can sustain the progress made and add a few squad players now you are likely to compete for the champions league finish again. Maybe a cup.
The season after is more important I’m every way, you sustain the level you are at and player will start wanting to join again.
It’s the greatest I told you so story in the world up until now ๐

19th July 2026 at 8:43 pm #250895Remember when @happy said Chelsea wonโt be threat next season; does he still think that way??
Agree with most on here we have always signed shite players but during Fergie they were quickly gotten rid of and the average players that were kept around knew and understood their roles and bled for the club but nowadays we have below average players starting and who are complete primadonnas.

19th July 2026 at 11:49 pm #250925Morgan Rogers still raves about Carrick as a coach when he was on loan. Says he was one of the coaches he’s ever had and still talks to him regularly

20th July 2026 at 8:00 am #250932DeeUtd, people have been saying for years how Chelsea are going to do this and that but it never happens. They’re just not as good as people make them out to be.

20th July 2026 at 10:39 am #250938I wonder if Alonso will try and get something out of delap or will he buy a striker. either way I’d be surprised if we finished about Chelsea and even Tottenham this coming season. so that’s city, arsenal, liverpool, Chelsea, and bloody Tottenham I’d have above us before a ball is kicked. says a lot when all but one of those teams is in rebuild mode.

20th July 2026 at 10:47 am #250939Sounds like Kone could be off or at least not first choice. Who could they be looking at realistically for DM? Wouldn’t be surprised if they are looking at another PL player like Wharton, Berge or Baleba. Wharton i don’t mind but don’t think he’s the physical player we need.

20th July 2026 at 11:39 am #250940all I know of kone is what I have seen at this World Cup, but from that showing he’s impressed me more than those French midfield lads at Madrid. my only concern with him is his injury record because he looks like some footballer. last season he had 2 separate hamstring issues that kept him out for a total of 2 months. now it should be noted he did have a pretty much injury free season the one before that. 3 seasons ago he had a month off with a torn muscle. 4 seasons ago he was 2 months off with a knee problem. 5 seasons he was 2 months off with ligament issues. so odds are whoever signs him will have to account for him not being available for large chunks of the season. maybe that’s all baked into the price because he’s 25 and I think he’s 50 million euros.
what do you lads think on signing him?_____________________________
