Well, start the thread early as nothing will happen this window. Will players in depend on the manager? If yes, needs to be sorted quickly.

30th January 2026 at 6:12 pm #238078I would say so MUFC. Itโd be nice if the announcement of the permanent manager was made before the World Cup starts. Even if itโs a National side manager. It be a change to know thereโs some future planning going into it and everyone knows. Then potential players know whose in charge and weโre not chasing around like a drunken piss head trying to pull a hottie ๐

1st February 2026 at 9:04 am #238199Goretzka is quality but I suspect heโs past his sell by date.
More worryingly – If Michael Carrick is retained as Manchester United head coach beyond this season, he wants England forward Marcus Rashford, 28, back from his loan spell at Barcelona.

1st February 2026 at 10:01 am #238205Difficult one with Rashford i think. He definitely lost his way here and Amorim essentially kicked him out. Has he rediscovered himself at Barca? 9 goals and 12 assists in 31 games suggests he has. If he was to come back i think he could be a good option from the bench. His attitude would have to be ironed out though and he’d need to work for the team which he stopped doing before. Him and Garnacho on the wings were a disaster with their lack of work rate tracking back.

1st February 2026 at 10:34 am #238207If Carrick is beyond this season he will buy the Middlesbrough cmf lad who operate as number 6 or 8. So our midfield may look like Baleba, Hackney and Mainoo. Is this midfield enough for next season? Is Mainoo enough as number 10?

1st February 2026 at 11:47 am #238212@happy – WTF are you on about now? The Rashfraud decision is the easiest one that the club will ever have to make, and that’s because there isn’t even a 0.00000001% chance that the guy should ever be brought back to OT under ANY fucking circumstance!
Fuck me, how do you think having a 300k plus per week player sat on the bench every week would work out, especially a totally selfish, horrible cunt like Gashy? I can’t even imagine how bad things would get if that thick as mince fucktard, his brother and his entourage were allowed back into the club after everything we’ve done to get rid of the cunt. Wise the fuck up for once matey, deary me!!_____________________________

1st February 2026 at 12:06 pm #238213No Zico, Mainoo is not good enough to be the 10 mate. I suspect Bruno will still be here and as long as we have a 2 operating behind him thatโll be fine, although Iโd rather cash in and replace him with Palmer or similar. And before anyone mentions Rogers, yes Iโd love him at the club, but I see him in one of the forward roles Mbeumo and Cunha occupy.

1st February 2026 at 1:38 pm #238243Jm-so with Carrick as manager we play Hackney and Mainoo behind Bruno. It seems Carrick fancy both Hackney and Mainoo. I still wants Baleba, great potential.

1st February 2026 at 5:26 pm #238309I like the look of Hackney mate but I just donโt think Mainoo is good enough. Too slow and not enough physicality or energy. Another pretty ordinary game again today and he definitely doesnโt fit in a two behind the playmaker. Heโs actually got to BE the playmaker mate, or he has to go. Personally, even if we finish top four or five, I donโt see Carrick as the answer.

1st February 2026 at 5:29 pm #238310Bringing or Wanting Rashford back should be the worst decision ever.. a player who gave up on the club and actively gave below sub-par performances every weekโฆ. This should not even be up for deliberation; the same way Garnacho, Sancho etc have been let go so should Rashford with his air of entitlement.
@Zico i do agree about Baleba as i think he can get back to being a beast but definitely not worth more than 60/70M_____________________________

1st February 2026 at 5:56 pm #238311Complete overhaul, and no Baleba!Instead go for Wharton or Anderson, and if Bruno is gone, break the bank for Rodgers or Palmer. We have so much shite to get rid of!

1st February 2026 at 9:17 pm #238325I think Baleba is nailed by Willcox&co. So a overhaul yes. Starting with proper cb’s and fullbacks . Our cb duo Martinez and Harry can’t change direction quick enough especially the latter as we all know . I’m not sure we can grab a CL spot with Harry and Martinez.

2nd February 2026 at 1:49 pm #238403Itโs certainly an interesting debate to whom we should sign. If we do sign two midfielders we need to get the balance right.
I like the passing range of an Adam Warton reminds me of Carrick with his passing. He always looks forward but my question is he mobile and quick enough?. Balbea has he got the footballing qualities at the highest level. Iโm thinking current Anderson and one of the two from above. Just hope we get it right_____________________________

2nd February 2026 at 1:56 pm #238404Wharton does have the passing range but hasnโt got the pace or mobility we desperately need โฆ Anderson has got both but he might be more expensive, Baleba has good technical abilities, very mobile as evident from last season and despite his drop in form this season he still gets picked to start by constantly by Brighton. Another player to look at is Joao Gomes at wolves; he can pass, dictate play, tackle and does have the mobility to back it up and he wonโt cost a fortune.
Personal preference would be both Baleba and Anderson but if he is too expensive get Gomes
