Yeah ed I didn’t add the subs appearances, 22 goal involvements in first 45 PL games is more than decent for a 22 Yr old in debut prem season even though it tailed off

I would expect inconsistency,for example rashford far more experienced in prem but still struggles for consistency, tough league to be consistent in for all but the very best.

Ed funny how footie fan psychology works aint it? I already admitted I would start giriud over tammy, clearly meaning tammy aint good enough for the games that matter, but as soon as fans of other clubs voice the same opinion I am compelled to reverse my own opinion and stand up for the player!

Time will tell I am just glad we have given these lads their chances, no one can deny that.

There is no doubt that with the ball at his feet Tammy is a decent striker, in the air it needs a different mentality, it’s all about desire, getting to the ball first whether it’s going to hurt or not….Pagan

Good point pagan, Drogba, Costa, even Crespo, nothing would stop them attacking a ball in the box, Giroud the same to be fair.

For me, the acid test of a number nine is how confident you feel when they’re through one on one with the goalkeeper. Most world class strikers will finish such chances, indeed you pretty much know they’ll score.

Lucky, probably not, I think Giroud plays a lot better when he’s got something to prove, I’d have brought him on a little earlier though…..Pagan

Pagan, fair enough, although if he started I am sure he would have been determined to prove he should be starting more often, but you could be on to something there and given his age ideally he shouldn’t be more than a sub for us anyway. Certain games though I just feel he should start and vs spurs was one of them, or at least come on earlier as you suggested.

The other thing is, of the four main chances that were created, they all fell to the wrong striker, the three headers you’d want to fall to Giroud and the one right at the end you’d want Tammy….Pagan

Nine, only just saw your post earlier re tammy, I agree mate and feel a bit better about it knowing you feel the same because like you I really want him to succeed too, Ed compared him to welbeck earlier, that really hurt 🙂

Hopefully pulisic can reach full fitness and form because the front 3 you mentioned would be lamps first choice I think and we yet to see it.

Pagan, but to turn attention to James for a minute what a player he is developing in to, and great that in a game of so few chances we had a right back delivering crosses like that. We really sorted for first choice full backs now with James and chilwell

Mikus, like Torres or Suarez? I have no idea how good their stats were and maybe I’d be shocked but I was never so confident than with them. Salah was insane in his first 2 seasons here also.

I was glad Giroud stayed on the bench for as long as he did, he has a habit of coming on a getting a goal .
I like him a lot, a really good pro who always gives 100% .

Football can change in the second half as we witnessed yesterday from the Southampton game, but my what is going on at Leicester?

The whole aura in the evenings reminds me of playing in a 6-a-side league in the late 90s under floodlights and on astro turf. The game’s quickened like a training exercise/drill.

How much of a difference does this all make not having the fans.
