Phillips has on a few occasions been caught a few meters deeper than the rest of the defence. This has let the BHA forwards in with a simple diagonal run following a through ball. Rwally not good enough. Apart from the first few minutes this has been a Liverpool performance I feared.

He needs to bring both Mane and Hendo on. We were drawn to being average. I think this is a game we can go on to win, because we will find the spaces. Need to be careful at the back.

Ya no complaints about the decision, just disapointed we didnt get the goal. Offside didnt even occur to me there TBH, so it was a shock. That said, it was corr3ect so we’ll be big boys about it.
What we see here though is that we don’t have as much depth as we’d like to think we have. Some of the players out there are not currently up to PL standard. I’m not going to get overly harsh about it in this post because some might get there. Minamino, Williams and Philips are just not up to the standard but I’d be some bit hopeful for Minamino. The other 2 are probably going to cost us the game, that’s my feeling anyway.
What i have to wonder is why Klopp doesn’t put Tsimikas on the right. Is he so one sided that he can’t do better than Williams? That’s alarming if so but look, something has to change. Whether it’s just Klopp sorting them out now, or actually making changes, we’re going to lose this match as things stand.

Sean, that’s exactly what hit my mind when I read Nil saying to bring Hendo on. That change will ,do us the world of good. I’d also take off Minamino for Mane. I don’t want to be too harsh on Minamino, he’s got a good touch about him. He’s got to get used to the pace of the PL and whether he’s up to it or not… but we have Mne on the bench and we bloody need him now. We need a big 45 mins, so Klopp will hopefully do it right away. I just wouldnt wait, this is perilous looking.
