Wolves hardly “battered” Utd Sean 😄. They deserved something from the game, for sure. Utd deserved more from the Southampton game too but didn’t get it. That’s football. I know it’s a cliche but winning when you’re not at your best, as Chelsea did yesterday, is what the title winners are going to have to do regularly.

I think Liverpool will have too much for a very open Leeds side today and join the pack at the top. We say it every year but this could genuinely be the closest race in years

TBH I though Newcastle as Villa could have won yesterday but once you make a riduclous howler whoever that Newcastle keeper was then it takes all the pluck out of the team. Hard to come back against big teams after that.

Ah wolves ripped through the middle of them easy enough Ed. Huge chances they threw away. Should have won a he game all day long but maybe ripped through them was going over the top. Utd are conceding plenty of chances Ed and it be very interesting to see if ole sticks with that attacking line up with one sitter againest the big teams

Leeds aren’t as open as people think. Utd, Liverpool
And Chelsea scored one goal between them at elland road. None of us beat them and that was without crowds. Very tough game and I think it be a draw which is just about right on our quest for 4th

Yeah they were the better side I agree Sean. They deserved something against Spurs too who they were even more dominant against.

As I’ve said all along, we’ll always struggle to dominate games against good footballing sides (like Wolves), as we’re not strong enough in the middle of the park. Matic doesn’t have the legs and Fred really needs a proper holder to be effective, as does McTominay. Fred is very good for Brazil with the likes of Fabinho alongside him.

For this reason, we’ll definitely be playing two holders in the bigger games. I have no doubt whatsoever about that.

Our only hope of winning something this season is if our forward line and defence are strong enough to compensate for our deficiencies in midfield. You look through our side and we can compete against any of the top 4 man-to-man in defence and attack but the other 3 (arguably even Leicester with Ndidi) are stronger in the middle of the park.

Ed ole needs to win something and something big. He’s spent absolutely millions and the excuses have to stop now. He’s enough talent there after finishing 2bd to really compete

No I agree Sean. He’s said it himself that there are no excuses. There should never be any excuses at a club like Utd, City, Chelsea or Liverpool. Anything less than winning trophies is failure and that’s exactly how it should be.

Incredibly difficult to do this season as there are 4 extremely strong sides. City and Chelsea are so strong and coming off the back of CL and PL success. Liverpool have Klopp too which means you’ll always compete.

He has to go,for me, if he doesn’t at least put up a very strong league challenge.

In fairness Ed, he’s doing a good job just needs that trophy and I don’t think he is that far away chum. Forward options is the best in the pl. Ronaldo, cavani, Greenwood, Sancho, rashford, pogba, fernedes etc

Huge options and Fred end mctwoniey work well together and a must in big games as you say

I just think Ronaldo on his own will do so much to lift them this season, particularly the players around him. His second coming could prove more important than his first. And his fitness still incredible. He’s 36 going on 20.

I said it was make or break for Ole when they got the boy Sancho. With Ronaldo the expectation goes through the roof. You saw that yesterday. Belief is great force in football, and for the first time since SAF i’m worried about man utd. Ronaldo will raise everyones game imo, but there will be games where they arent having it all their own way, and this will be where Ole earns his crust. I think we are for sure heading for the slimmest winning margin in recent seasons, and it may well be the head to heads that decide it. Like Sean I don’t see the Pool having quite enough to get the job done, but I would love to just ruin UTDs party if we can’t. ABU 🤣
