My stream died for Elliott’s injury. They wouldn’t show it again, so I assume it’s horrific. Broken leg?
Missed it being a red card then again, as tried to reload.
He was just being taken off…. I was really enjoying watching his early work for us but i guess that’s gone now..a real shame.
I’ve a bet on with slah fiest goal, 3 nil win.

I’m still shaking myself nine, can’t imagine how his team mates and elliot himself feeling. I think like nil we won’t see Elliot again this season. Just wish him as speedy a recovery as possible, he has shown such potential in these opening games

Top 4 is already starting to shape up, though I think both Chelsea and Utd could drop points next weekend with trips to Spurs and West Ham.

Ed I think that bielsa’s work with Leeds can’t be denied mate, he has created a team that is greater than the sum of its parts. Not only getting promotion but doing it playing fantastic football and finishing mid table in premier league playing the exact same way. Watch the take me home documentary on Leeds, both seasons, the impact he had is remarkable.
I think what frustrates us is everyone knows that they will concede tons of goals against the top teams playing like that and it makes you wonder whether they should be adapting their style against the top 4 at least. But maybe they would still end up conceding 2 or 3 per games playing more defensively and also create much less going forward.
Ultimately I can’t help hut admire the man.

Decent game to watch from a Liverpool perspective and they really should have been out of sight by HT. Horrendous injury to Elliott and really feel for the lad – sadly looks like he’ll be out for quite a while. Having said that, it wasn’t even a foul (let alone a red card), it was just one of those very unfortunate footballing incidents that have always happened and always will. That clown of a referee took action based on the extent of the injury and not any offence that may or may not have occurred. Leeds really should appeal the red on that basis alone.

I think the red card might be reconsidered as I think the injury may have made the ref show the red. Donβt think it was a bad tackle but you see right away how bad the injury was. Huge pity as he really started the season well. Wish him a speedy recovery
I wouldnβt write bielsa or Leeds off yet. They got much fitter as the season went on last year and city, chensea, Liverpool or utd beat them at elland road playing the same tactics. Time will tell
We looked sharp and hopefully we have no more serious injuries.

The only thing going against him, it looked like VAR looked at the incident and then the ref made his decision……….who knows? Football these days, eh?_____________________________
