Watched the game last night then casually went to sleep, the euphoria only hit me this morning when I got out of bed, my family think I’m mad jumping around and shouting viva Italia. I’m sorry for any country fans that lose a final especially a penalty shootout which I also don’t believe is the right way to settle a final. The joy like everyting else in life is temporary but it does lift you up in these tough times.

I prefer this change, away goals always seemed to have an unfair side to it. Extra time and then penalties, if the better team cannot beat the underdogs in all that given time its tough luck.

Although it was the group of death none of those top teams really impressed. The England Germany game is too close to call, my choice is Belgium and I think they will be deserving winners should they go all the way.

I don’t know who else Southgate could have played to make the team stronger, maybe by starting Grealish and later replacing Kane with Calvert who I think is very underated. Can’t really think any other current player would make much difference on the night.

OK I just saw Zola is already 54 so maybe it’s not for him though for a manager it is still reasonably young. How time flies by.

I don’t believe Frank and Zola are not suited as top coaches, they both highly intelligent individuals where they went wrong is they pushed themselves too quickly into top clubs as managers instead of gaining valuable experience, I think Terry is on the right track gaining experience as an assistant and also where expectations are not too high. He plans to be a top manager as well but his doing it in a more sensible manner. Zola not sure he wants too anymore but especially Frank are still young enough to go that route.

Definitely can’t understand why Pep had no hiding midfielder in the starting 11, we all spoke about in surprise when we saw the teams but maybe it’s because successful eccentric coaches do sometimes get a wild idea to do something differently and it does payoff often but not always, anyway I’m sure City will be in many cup finals for years to come including the CL. TBH Chelsea should have had 3 CL titles at least in their pocket. If you think how they lost 2 semis and one final.

I actually thought the ref was excellent his persona is a bit dislikeable but that doesn’t really matter. Anyway though we as Chelsea fans are happy I do feel for City supporters they waited so long having not won it yet but I do also sense now that they reached their first final they will be regulars same as Real, Bayern, Barcelona etc. It would have been much more painful losing on a penalty shootout like we did on our first final. Not to even mention that famous slip.
