Obviously I’m not sure how I’m going to cope during the 30 weeks with one treatment every three weeks and 10 treatments in total

My objective is to try and continue life as normally as possible accepting that may not be the case every day and where possible to try and keep on posting regularly depending on how I am. Cheers All 9’s

You’re a top poster buddie both on here and particularly on the Chelsea site where as you say we get the occasional bout of nonsense but that’s why the Chelsea site needs posters like you, you are the counter balance to the nonsense when it happens and the Chelsea site wouldn’t be the site it is without posters like you additionally you’re also a great contributor on here too.

Belgium boss Martinez said Rudiger should have been shown a straight red card for the foul which brought a premature end to De Bruyne’s night.

“For me, Rudiger is very, very fortunate,” said Martinez. “When you look at the replay, there’s no clash of heads.

“He’s properly leaving the shoulder against Kevin. He seems concussed and we will see the state of that.

“But that leaves a sour taste, because Rudiger’s holding his head, it’s almost that he wants to show that he’s hiding something.

Rudiger received medical attention but was booked for his challenge

Adlab, fortunately Martinez is not biased re KDB and not worried about him not being fit for the Euros.😊

The Referee awarded a yellow card for the block which is a foul if Rudiger in his opinion had intended to hurt KDB he would have rightly sent him off and VAR would have looked at this incident from several different angles numerous times and decided there was no intention by Rudiger to hurt KDB his intention was just to stop him with a block which is a yellow card offence.

I might be wrong but I’ve heard no suggestion from Pep that it was anything else other than a foul with an unfortunate outcome.

Adlab, tuchel got it spot on. He stuck to a system and pattern of play that works for Chelsea

City fans love pep. Rightly so. Best manager out there but why does he make such bizarre decisions in big European games mate? He is partially to blame. Utter maddness not starting either one of ferdhino or Rodri. Either one had started 59 out of the previous 60. That meant moving gundogan back and taking him out as a threat going forward. It be like Chelsea dropping Kante.

Sterling was hardly starting games this a month ago and has been terrible yet starts?

As Brian says playing without a striker is no big issue as city have done it loads of times and scored plenty of goals.

Chelsea were excellent. Fully deserved it abd Kante is a real star. Humble man. Never moans or gives out. Hard not to really like the man.

City are such a great team. They age had an excellent season but I’m really not sure what pep has got into pep in Europe since his last cl win

Definitely can’t understand why Pep had no hiding midfielder in the starting 11, we all spoke about in surprise when we saw the teams but maybe it’s because successful eccentric coaches do sometimes get a wild idea to do something differently and it does payoff often but not always, anyway I’m sure City will be in many cup finals for years to come including the CL. TBH Chelsea should have had 3 CL titles at least in their pocket. If you think how they lost 2 semis and one final.

Pep tried to accommodate both Gundogen and KDB and both are advanced midfielders. They needed Fernandinho. The actual threaded ball played to Havertz encapsulates that point.

My only other question and doubt was John Stones. I’m sure La Porte was available.

These players above all are tried and tested and we can’t be over critical, but when picking individuals like Sterling and Mahrez, the tactics implemented are fairly predictable. E.g. ball over the top or in small pockets on the deck around that 6 yard area. Even with KDB, there are rarely long range efforts.

This is similar to how Liverpool press, playing in small pockets looking for gaps and spaces, opposition teams will study and have you sussed out. Tuchel essentially got the better of Pep on the night.

We can blame this and we can blame that however one thing that must be taken into account is the fact that Chelsea played and defeated City three times in seven odd weeks. Did Pep get it all tactically wrong three times or is there more to it than Pep’s decision making? Chelsea also beat Liverpool under Tuchel – played four won four, five goals for and only one against. City were 20 points clear of Chelsea at the end of the season and Chelsea will be expected to challenge City and Liverpool for the title next season. I guess to close a twenty point gap from one season to the next indicates that Chelsea under Tuchel might just be the real deal. If anything it would be good for the Premiership to not become a Scottish Premier League so its time for the likes of Chelsea and United to recreate the big four to the extent that any of the four clubs could win the title going into March or April.

Chelsea 1967, no one is taking anything away from Chelsea or blaming this or that mate. I said tuchel got it spot on but we are discussing why pep has made a bizarre decision yet again in a big cl game.

Tuchel has done a great job. Chelsea along with city have the best squads in the league so Chelsea need to be challenging for the league next season.

The challenge for chelsea now is consistently breaking down teams and taking our chances over 38 prem games. City do that best which is why they are champs.

However, head to head chelsea are currently better and 3 wins from last 3 suggests if chelsea played city every week we would be champions 😀

We’d have to keep Kante and Rudiger fit for 38 matches though. Kante’s presence in particular in that side is immeasurable.

Kante is Chelsea’s main man. Without they are very much weakened. He’s like two players. He missed a few games abd Chelsea lost a few games if I can remember correctly

What a player. 32m for him was an absolute snip. He’s won everything. Seems like a smashing lad aswell. A real star without the airs and graces
