Tuchel needs to really believe he can win this, but he has to play his strongest 11 players and good quality. Havertz and Pulisic should definitely start. Somebody needs to be good to be able to challenge Fernandino.

I think it’s the players that need to believe they can win it Nil and Tuchel needs to convince them of that. I think he can do that.

Chelsea will need to field their best team with Mendy and Kante being 100% if they are 100% fit and Chelsea play to their full potential and get a bit of luck Chelsea have got half a chance on Saturday night even though City remain odds on favourites.

Nike…Fernandiho just gets on with his job, why would Cheleas want challenge a midfielder? I thought they would be pre occupied with Foden, KDB and Gungdoghan. Chelsea have kante in similar role but I hope he will be kept t busy with the aforementioned…great player though

I think this is going to be a really interesting final. Ever since Chelsea beat City they have faced teams that have defended deep and they’ve really struggled to break them down and exposed a bit of a weakness in their team. Now there is no way Pep is going to set his team up to defend deep (one would assume he has learned from his mistake against Lyon last season). So this should play more into Chelsea’s favour. The big question is whether Chelsea can regain that attacking form they found themselves in before they played the defensive teams.

Welcome Foxey.
There was a nice interview with Foden on Sky the other week and they asked him who is the toughest player he’s played against, he said ‘Kante, he’s everywhere, just when you think you’re away from him and he’s back again’ 🤣. I think it’ll be a good game with some good match-ups across the park. Sevilla proved that it’s easier to defend than attack and that seems to be the way both City and Chelsea have improved from early wobbles this season. I don’t think previous form will play a part, both teams have the ability to cause problems for the other, but I’m confident the game will be a far better spectacle than the Euro League final which was pretty awful to watch. May the best team win 😉

Nine, you’re right mate re one of your previous replies. The Players have to be able to believe in themselves; bit cocksure of Sterling to be speaking like that.

Mendy, Azpi, Kante pulling together being those figureheads and giving leadership can make a significant impact on Teammates.

Nine…..this is a CL Final…are you saying Chelsea are underdogs? To get to the Final is achievement in itself, I do not care what the pundits say, City are a beatable side and everyone knows we will not be defensive from the start so it gives every chance for opposing teams. No undergogs here, two good teams, a one off game, I just hope the Ref, officials and VAR are good enough. I will be curious what team Pep sends out… by the way, received a very nice letter from Pep this morning, amongst all other season ticket holders of late, nice touch and nice sentiments

I think it’s the angle of Man City being a strong favourite.

I checked one bookmaker and Chelsea are priced at 7/2 whilst City are 20/23.

But quite right, anything can happen in a Final.

No way is it an impossible mission. Kante being fit is huge. Chelsea’s most important player. Very tough as if city really turn up then you fancy them but it certainly will be close

I would say may the best team win, but I would be lying because city are the best team and I support chelsea!

Whatever happens tonight, and no matter how bitter some posts may be following the game, let’s just remember we have more in common than we have differences.

If we are to win a champs league may as well be against best team in Europe, if we are to lose, better that it is to the best team in Europe.
