3ps they only got a year left on their contracts. Edwards, Hughes, Slot and the rest of the coaches are on short term contracts, Bronckhorst is probably leaving for Feyenoord. There is no indication any of them to have a long term future at the club, I firmly believe Edwards only came here for a short term project which is only gonna last 3 years max. Inside that time frame the clubs needs to find another strong manager like Klopp to take over!
If anyone of them would get a new contract tomorrow I will change my opinion but until then I believe they are headed out next summer.

Edwards will also get a free slate if he hires a manager that takes us forward instead of backwards! If all the new signings started to perform all would be forgiven and that is likely to happen under Enrique. He would also get the credit for getting us a world class manager instead of a short term fix like Slot.
Edwards just needs to deliver us a new squad inside 3 years, he has been so aggressive with the sales, he is not looking at what damage he does right now as he is determined to finish this rebuild inside those three years, after this summer he should be 2/3 of the way. He will only get one more window before his contract is up.
Without them being tied up for the long term I don´t see them staying for the long term. That is my point basically. They need to deliver this project next year.
I´ve always had a suspicion that Klopp retired because he did not have the heart to break down the squad and say goodbye to the players. So we got Edwards in to do that and he will be halfway there after this summer!

They don’t need to deliver anything. They are not cresting a legacy they already on their wind down.
Baffles me that you cannot see an issue here.
I can actually see Slot staying and all three going at the end of their contracts, with Edwards replacement being interviewed early 2027.
All go at once will cause instability and not attractive to any top manager.

I don´t believe that after John Henry spoke out and told them to work harder! I am pretty sure Slot would go hide in the toilet if Henry showed up at Anfield as he lacks all backbone.
I just genuinely never disliked a manager as much as Arne Slot, ever since he put down the club to enhance his own reputation I´ve wanted him gone!
That moment convinced me that he is nothing but a ego maniac, he can´t handle any criticism aimed at him from anyone, he will use his passive aggressiveness and make life as miserable as he can for anyone who opposes him.
He is using Salah in the same way Klopp used Sakho! As an example, that is how much of a ego maniac he is! He goes after our most professional and ambitious player and makes and example out of him and forces him out of the club after breaking every promise he made to him!
I am hoping the lads will just play like Salah wants them to play, if I am emotional about anything it is about him leaving the club. I still believe he will reconsider his decision if Slot gets the sack! I hope he wrestles control of the locker room and we play his game not Slot´s!
I think 97% of managers would get Salah back to scoring 20 goals and assisting another 20, we just have to let him attack the final zone instead of playing rightback half the time!
Slot states he knows what to do and Salah comes out with that bombshell of his own! I´m pretty sure who is gonna handle the final day with more professionalism and dedication. One of them loves the club, the other loves his own ego.

Rob I think it has to do with his mentality, he has already achieved everything he set out to do at PSG, I think he wants a new challenge by what I´ve read in the last 6 months or so.
He knows there is no other team that could challenge him there, he is such a fierce competitor that I don´t think he has it in him to basically retire in Paris. He wants more experience, he wants another league and I bet there is a reason as to why he became fluent in English.
He had Bobby Robson that made his career, he starting being influential under Bobby and I think that experience sits back in his mind. Football wise, he wants to experience that culture.
He could have stayed at Barcelona remember, then he took up the Spanish national side and only resigned there because of personal reason we can all understand. I think he wants to learn the English game cause he wants to get the experience of all the major leagues around Europe. Before entering the international game again.
You guys keep asking me why I think him, or why I think he is about to enter the premier league and cause he could take over at City as well. It´s because he is that ambitious, he is that obsessed with the game and wants to learn more about it. He wants to win in every league, he also managed at Roma even though that did not go to great effect but he learned his lesson there.
I don´t think he would stay here for 10 years, he would probably accept a 5 year contract and I reckon 3 of those would be golden years.
This is one of the few managers around the world that leaves a club in a better condition than when he took over, he has proven track record of that. Even at Roma, which was probably his biggest failure. PSG got one of the youngest lineups ever of a Champions League winner, they will probably keep the trophy. I can´t see Arsenal beating them as they are lining up for failure against them. They are too defensive and will invite the pressure on them and that will be fun to watch actually. They were the only better team than us last season, as soon as they finished us off I knew they were gonna win.
you lads can´t be all that pessimistic that you all think Slot will continue? There is player uprising happening now, our biggest legend is calling him out and the only Scouse player in the squad as well. I am pretty sure Robbo will have his say as well as soon as he leaves the club, he will tear into every post made around Slot for the remainder of Slot´s career. They are not on good terms either.
I want a statement from Van Dijk right now, no matter how small, he needs to pick a side right now! I would rather see him go out fighting for the club than participating in this nonsense from Slot! He should back up Salah right now, even Gakpo has liked that post from Salah.
I can actually understand Gakpo being really frustrated right now as he has had to endure the full extent of the whole fanbase criticizing him for his efforts this season but Gakpo is under orders from Slot. I don´t wanna blame Gakpo for his productivity this season when I am not blaming Salah for his. The one common reason for both of them underperforming is Slot and his methods!
There is no fucking excuse like Salah states, we should be winning trophies every season with the budget we have. We can maybe fail in one or two competitions but we need a trophy every season according to our budget.
You bring in a nobody that has no managerial experience from a nobody league and this is what happens when Edwards gets his way! Complete failure to protect a winning squad!

Bingo – I feel the same about Slot. 42 years of supporting and no one comes close to how I feel about Slot.
Woy was totally out of his depth but had a terrible squad. Souness made a mess of things but 6 years earlier had been a beast of a player.
Slot somehow feels both inadequate and uncommitted. Perhaps it’s the uncommitted part that’s made him so unlikeable for me…

3ps there are other top managers out there after the world cup, Nagelsmann for example, Tuchel might become available as well. I would even take Angelotti, I just about take any other top managers than Slot but I don´t even consider him top manager, he is way beneath that. He is worse than Houllier, Benitez, Hodgson, Evans, Souness, Iriola, Arteta, Carrick, I can name just about every manager in the league before Slot.
We found our identity back under Klopp, high pressing game, fantastic transitions from defense to attack. Slot wants another identity for us, he wants that slow moth ball with our wingers basically operating in a back 6 at times. I even think I have seen a back 7 with two midfielders and one attacker ahead of them this season, its so negative and the man claims he does not want to park the bus.
I think the last manager to be as negative as him was Frank De Boer. They also share the same man management skills etc.

I really wish Slot had been sacked when we went through that long string of losses. It could have been really different for several players and maybe the season.

You’ll have to forgive me redwarrior, I don’t care a jot about the media anymore, most are full paid up club propagandists. What it does show currently is the huge disconnect football, clubs and the players have from the fans.
There was a poll on Sky about who the fans backed, Slot or Salah….4% went with Slot (presumably 3% of those were opposition fans) and 96% Salah.
The daft thing about that whole piece on Sky was Carra and Viera had their words on it blaming Salah for not being professional, then the fan poll came and they sat there smiling like a couple of paid up clowns.

Ali is done at the end of the season and don’t blame him.Im starting to wonder if Ali’s injury was a convenient (from Ali and LFC’s side) injury to allow Mama some game time to integrate him into the #1 role.
I do hope Ali doesnt go, but sadly it seems like its going in the wrong direction for that to happen.
