Think it’s just a question of when now, even if things improve I think he’s gone by rhe summer at the latest.
As of 27/11/2025 here are the odds:
Jurgen Klopp – 2/1
Andoni Iraola – 5/1
Oliver Glasner – 6/1
Unai Emery – 9/1
Julian Nagelsmann – 10/1
Marco Silva – 14/1
Xavi – 14/1
Mauricio Pochettino – 14/1
Zinedine Zidane – 16/1
Cesc Fàbregas – 20/1
Steven Gerrard – 25/1
I’ve said it already I just can’t see Klopp coming back with Edwards in charge. Edwards left because of Klopp.
I’d keep an eye on the situation at Real as there’s a big rift between Alonso and some of the senior players. Seems Alonso wants them to work hard and their primadonna mentality finds that an issue!
Iraolo would provide a style that I thjnk would suit Liverpool. Fast transitions and attacking but not in the Slot throw everyone forward with nothing actually happening sort of way.
My heart says Alonso if possible although we would need 2 centre backs in winter and probably another in summer, and my head say Iraolo.

27th November 2025 at 6:32 am #231557If we can’t get Klopp back, then I’d go for Glasner personally. Wouldn’t mind him bringing over Munoz and Guehi and that could well possibly happen!!
There is no way Slot is EVEN sticking this one out till Xmas. Results will worsen with his rubbish possession-based game. West Ham will have us Sunday, Guaranteed!!

27th November 2025 at 9:07 am #231564As you would’ve expected, but a big meeting is set up for today (no shocker)
Hughes had a meeting with some of the leadership group post-game.
Hughes is also in a bit of trouble with the top brass, but two (one temp and one permanent)have been approached to take over as previously stated.
Forgive me for this speculation, but when I was told about the 12th December I think Slot’s removal was going to happen no matter the results._____________________________

27th November 2025 at 9:07 am #231565I’m sure these reports are bullshit and probably written by Everton/scum fans, but being linked to Big Ange’…?

27th November 2025 at 9:35 am #231570Probably because he’s a liverpool fan himself and would love the job and available.
Thr problem is availability. Teams will not want to lose a successful coach mid season.
Also assume we are again looking for a head coach rather than a manager, so that would rule Klopp out.

27th November 2025 at 10:17 am #231579Time to ignore the noise and focus on beating West Ham only. Now let’s do it.

27th November 2025 at 10:37 am #231587That’s just it though. We are incapable of beating anybody and we cannot afford to lose any more ground with already 6 league defeats.

27th November 2025 at 10:46 am #231588There’s a story now doing the rounds that Hughes overruled Slot in letting Diaz go, when Slot wanted to keep him. Wouldn’t surprise me if true given how we’ve missed him.

27th November 2025 at 10:51 am #231590and this is why Hughes is in a bit of trouble too Mikus, its not just this sale but the glaring issue is Kerke and the contract issue that have arisen… or the lack of contacts to be more accurate.

27th November 2025 at 11:47 am #231594Well somebody needs to take accountability. No wonder Klopp resigned. Who would want to be a coach when you don’t have a say in who you want and don’t want.
One or two Elephants in the room when breaking a British Record in Transfer fee and can’t get a Tune out of Wirtz and Isak making excuses.
It’s a Mess.

27th November 2025 at 12:01 pm #231595Nil, Klopp resigned for his health. Edwards resigned because he didn’t want to work with Klopp but wanted a more coach type instead. Klopp had a lot of say when purchasing players and not all of it effective, Nunez for example was a Klopp signing against everyone else’s wish.
Just think if he has that power st the start we’d have Julian Brandt and Oblak instead of Salah and Alisson.

27th November 2025 at 12:12 pm #231596I think this is the downward spiral that i thought would happen last season
Which will begin another good few years of us falling apart
We have bought players who cannot play togetherIraola is another poch in my opinion
Brounemouth suits him.
Choices are limited limited

27th November 2025 at 12:14 pm #231598Like why did we sign writz, isak and kerkes?
Will a new manager get them playing?

27th November 2025 at 12:22 pm #231599Thanks 3’ps mate for clarity. Seems then that Hughes is the main button-pusher.
Maybe that’s why Slot is still here as he would argue the case of not shouldering all the blame. So who else comes into to these discussions/meetings held?
Regarding the players; whilst it’s a shame, one example in Diaz was that he wanted to go. And in reality, there was legitimate reasoning for everybody else be it loan or actual sales to new destinations.

27th November 2025 at 12:22 pm #231600Alonso had Wirtz/Frimpong playing
Howe had Isak playing
Toppmoller had Ekitike playing
Iraola had Kerkez playingIf you don’t provide the platform for players to perform, they won’t. At least not all of them.

27th November 2025 at 12:31 pm #231604This is a collection of talented players.
The squad is littered with talented players.I’ll say it again, they are not being given the platform to play to their best ability.

27th November 2025 at 12:37 pm #231605Sean, that actually may be a valid point. Franks the very example at Spurs from Brentford. Theory is one thing, but not clear cut moving to a bigger club and naturally, one doesn’t get the time they need in this day and age.
