Valid Point Chucks; Strategy on being more Tactical. Unfortunately as far as defensive performances go, I haven’t seen too many this season. Definitely in need of a Centre Half and a DM. Ange yes, perhaps a bit too proud for his own liking. I thought this too is where Klopp went wrong in the latter part of his tenure, not refining the 4-3-3 to 4-2-3-1.

From listening to 606 y’day, I picked up on apparently Notts Forest fans turning on Nuno. Why? Obviously it’s a disappointment. But haven’t they progressed beyond expectations? I also see them dropping off, but perhaps this is down to tiredness in players and not having the depth.
Ange actually got off to a good start during the first chunk of the PL Campaign. But unlike a comparison to Forest, Spurs have fallen beyond expectations as far as the League Ladder goes.
It’s this though during appointing somebody, down to planning and contingencies? Teams can be struck with player injuries and sadly, there’s very little they have control of when dealing with that scenario. It’s ultimately a measure of 45-50 games. There has to be investment in players and youth development to integrate players and keeping hold of your better ones.
I would like Spurs to achieve a Cup, but in their best interest, it’s better for Ange to part-ways and allow somebody new.

Good to see you back on here Mikus, hope you’re good and Well Done Predicting us!!
Chucks, re your comment on the other thread calling it for us in Nov, for me the sort of ‘red alert’ was when Man City had lost 3 in a row and Liverpool were sitting top of the Table. I always feel they’re the signs and the first 10/12 games sort of define whether or not you’ll be challenging for the Title. Only though of course, if you’re sat at the Top of The Tree.
Difficult run of fixtures too early doors; didn’t really fancy us with Chelsea and Arsenal away. Xmas went well for us as well as Jan and Feb which I believe were the months and periods where you can quite easily lose points and allow yourself to drop positions.
That spell in March when we got knocked out of the CL and lost the Cup Final, I thought we would collapse. Arsenal in fairness were kind to us and didn’t really push us as much as I thought they would.
The key in the race though wasn’t to get carried away and exhibit professionalism until we got over the Line.

Pep immediately congratulate Liverpool during his FA Cup Post Match Interview. Miss the Toe-to-Toe with City’s but maybe that’s the way we could win as they have been granite for the past 4 seasons. Who knows next season.

Cheers for the congrats messages everyone much appreciated.
It’s been a long time coming in terms of the team being able to Celebrate the Title Triumph with the supporters and remembering this could not be done during Covid Pandemic back in 2020.
Of course, more will follow in the up and coming weeks and yes, there is still 4 more matches to be played. My attitude would be as it has been all season not to get too carried away and keep playing as if you are still fighting for the Title.
I’m not sure about us retaining it nor would want to think that far ahead until we do what’s necessary in strengthening the squad and moving on players, but after such a long wait in relation where we are now and where we need to be, let’s the soak in the moment with ease and take it day by day.
Cheers

Well, the beaming on screens from Tottenham was certainly lively last night. Thoroughly enjoyed the fight and all 12 rounds. Hopefully a rematch.
Championship has one more weekend left and this time of the year is the movements of teams relegated, survived or edging towards promotion.
6:30 this evening I hope to see something special.

Beejay, over to you to ironically roll the RED CARPET hahaha, but I’m sure you want your own boys to win. We are in a position to draw, so ‘EVERYBODY’ will be a WINNER 😀 🙂 😉

I’m think the agreement of the loan deal could have been split in wage; It might well be something to do with Amorim, but in the grand scheme of things, isn’t the priority here more to do with cuts for the club than spending? Rashford should really place focus on other opportunities if Villa is not envisaged to be long-term.

Which other Tottenham has ‘finished’ ever like this? The same goes for Man United 🫠

Haha. A lot have cited and effectively moaned about the ‘quality’ of the league. I wonder if there’s a correlation between the teams from one end of the table to to the other. The newly promoted 3 as ‘default’ in the Relegation Zone have occupied those places through no fault of their own of course, but quite simply because of them being poor.
They’ve had though let off the hook the other 5 teams above them sitting on 36-38 points which in turn is not something to be jumping up and down for.
Maybe some sort of a play-off or a 4th Relegation Place as an idea.
Despite all this, I don’t doubt the integrity and professionalism of the teams as there is always Revenue to consider from where you finish in the league.
As they say, Every Little Helps 😉

Hello Gents! 🙂
Went to the game and lol my point proved (not that I want the flaming point to be proved!), as Ultimately in my Team, I don’t see any Pushover.
Leicester were conscientious as much as they could stretch out to be. Luis Diaz is a Tireless and a Conscientious player himself that just keeps going and Super Credit to him. Alexis MacAllister really was the Best Player on the Pitch Today along with Gravenberch. Van Dijk and Konate have it under control as long as there is a Connor Bradley and A Left Back other than ‘usual suspects’
Guess what, Trent comes on and changes it.
Not the Best of games from an Entertainment POV, Never-the-less, we are 2 Points away from Title Number 20

Mikey F, just trying to figure out and answer your question/point.
Now that this has been beyond a month, I would make highlight these possible reasonings:
– timing
– ‘out of gas’
– restI would add possible aura of complacency and maybe not giving Newcastle as much respect as they deserve. Nothing to take from them, they deserve their triumph and as much heartbreak as it was.
Tonali returning this season has added value to their midfield and when they have a fully fit squad, they are on a different level. They should be challenging for Top 4 if not the league title next season if they can add layers to their first team from summer signings.
