Absolutely agree with the last sentence, but would also like to think the rest of us are big enough and ugly enough not too take Nil’s little meltdowns too seriously. As sarcastic as it may sound, I quite enjoy them to be honest, find them very entertaining (sorry Nil, but they are mate!)… and most certainly not offended by them as I know it’s Nil’s alter ego that’s posting them.

For what it’s worth, I always thought Wee Phil was a bit overrated, never looked close to being MOM whenever he played the Spuds, and was mightily surprised when they got the wedge they did, and most obviously of all I never watched him week-in, week-out.
I will say this though, doesn’t look like Pool are missing him much, do they? Buy a couple of real decent players for the wedge they got him, I’d say good business all round!
As for Nil for doing a NIl, leave him be chaps. It wasn’t the first, nor will it be the last. He can be a bit of a plonker, but that’s why we love him!

To be honest, if Son was offside it was the hairs on his knee-caps, don’t think VAR proved it one way or the other (and I always thought the “benefit” was given to the attacker?).

Going back to the Son goal, pretty sure the ref didn’t blow until after is was in the net (might be wrong mind you, getting old!). As for the goalie stopping, he stopped because he saw the flag, not because the Ref blew, which would be the goalie’s cock-up!
Anyway, still don’t like it myself, now we’ve seen it in action a few times… taking far too long being my main issue with it.

The thing is though, it’s a real catch-22. We all want our clubs to go and sign Carlos Kickaball for millions, and the money has to come from somewhere at the end of the day. If all clubs suddenly charged a tenner for a game I reckon the lack of funds will filter down to the quality of the team eventually… suppose it would be fair if every club did it… but there’s more chance of me marry Belinda than that happening.

With regards to the noise, and I’m sure it’s the same at most grounds of the “larger” clubs, is simply the influx of “tourists” at most games these days. The somewhat rougher and generally noisier hard-core fans can’t afford to go as often as they used too… combined with the new “stadiums” too… souless spaceships that most of them are.
Going to be interesting to “hear” how the new WHL sounds like. Did read reports sound “experts” were involved in the design and construction to help increase possibly noise levels from the crowds. No idea how that will work, guess we’ll see the proof in the pudding in about 6/7 months…
