Actually, Pool’s transfer window is going to be interesting, despite claims they still have a wedge (who really knows?), Rip Van Winkle, Salah and this German lad were about 160 and they got about 146 (with add-ons) for Wee Phil…
Perhaps we’ll be hearing the “nobody in the market” excuse come August?? Time will tell on that one…

In defense of my Spuds, the whole semi-final/home field thing was raised last summer at one of the meetings and by all accounts nobody had an issue then… bit late for anybody to sulk about it now… but as Wasplicker says, we’ll choke anyway… 🙂

The problem/issue I have with this Maureen “needs more time/had a crap squad” debate is very simple.
At YooUtd Maureen has spent 300m odd buying Emoji-ma, Sanchez, Matic, Lukaku, Lindelof and Bailey… that’s 6 very decent players indeed. Add arguably the best goalie in the world, and a reminder of a squad that has won more than a few premiership medals between them…
Personally, the ship Maureen is sailing did not have a crew anywhere near as bad as people like to make out, and he hasn’t been shy in hiring new crew members at each port of call (getting bored with bus analogy’s!).
Sure, he’s improved YooUtd since he’s been there, but the squad he inherited along with the players he’s bought, he’d have to be a right numpty not too.
I think we’ve seen the best of Maureen… he’s peaked…

Pretty sure Goose-bloke is referring to this season only…
Personally, I don’t think Sanchez is having a great season by his own high standards while still at the goonies, and for 600 grand a week I think you can expect a player to hit the ground running… especially if he stays within a league he’s already spent 3 or 4 years in… Sanchez has let himself down badly this year… on and off the pitch…
