We’re really pushing City all the way here. I’ll be honest, I had worried some time back that we’d be left behind by now. It seemed that we we couldn’t help but draw every second game there but here we are, fighting for our lives.
All the City players watch that game. Pep watched that game. Don’t tell me that won’t have stung them a little bit, it will have. They are still an incredible team who might just batter everyone from here on but with this win against Chelsea and the manner of it (intensity and a super super goal), we’ve really thrown down the gauntlet.

We can take it easy-ish with our coming CL game. I think we need to rest Mane and Firmino. They don’t look tired but let’s keep them fresh!
Man City can’t afford to rest too many players or they are risking elimination from the CL.

Huge progress looking back on our recent fixtures; Chelsea, Saints, Spurs, and Fulham.
12 massive points and could have easily been something different.
4 more games, all winnable.
United necessarily don’t have to win, even a draw would help us. There’s Spurs, and both Burnley and Brighton who themselves are fighting for their lives.
Maybe Leicester could surprise us, so plenty of permutations and not just down to United to try and help us.

Sean, do you remember when I went mental about Fabinho after a game against the eastern European team we played? Many (rightly so, perhaps) said I was silly to go off one performance but it was a window to this.
I remember we played Arsenal after that and I was so hyped and he completely tanked it, so I felt that maybe I was wrong. His performance was that bad.
I can’t say enough positive things about him now, as he’s completely settled now and dominating midfield.

Not really in the same way but I did when he had one or 2 good games. It was more relief but ya, I mean he’s playing well enough these days. Still no, I didn’t say anywhere near the same kind of thing about keita as I did Fabinho.
I said Fabinho will be a world class player etc etc.
