If a Ref is spat upon, abused, threatened in whatever context, you wont have pity for them because in your eyes, they’ve cheated. That essentially means you dont care what happens to them and the they can be raped, abused, beaten or killed, you’ll just turn the other way or close one eye to walk past or stand on the sides egging it all on screaming justice, justice… Thats called law of the jungle mate. Society is slightly more refined than that. Like Zero tolerance in work places for threats and bullying or harassment. I dont hear you though when you say it was better in the olden days, when you could abuse people and laugh, call people out for having different skin colour or actively discriminate against them because of it. Jesus wept at your last comments.
Genuine question, Are the refs cheating, that means its intentional and deliberate, or is it a genuine mistake, that happens, happened before VAR and will happen after?

Liverpool are a TOP team, playing so well, still uinbeaten in the PL (nervous about that) 5 points clear of 2nd place and 9 points clear of suppoosed main rivals, still in all competitions, scoring some incredible goals….yet youd think some of the fan base were being made to turn up and watch Southend play every week

As a neutral I loved the game yesterday it had sublime goals , intensity , passionate players and fans,on the day Liverpool fully deserved the win, next time who knows ?
Manchester City and Liverpool are 2 of the best sides in world football so it’s no coincidence that there are differences of opinion both during and after the game, it’s what makes football the greatest sport on our planet.
The one thing I don’t get , why don’t the refs use the available monitors more , they could make decisions far quicker than waiting for the VAR boys to finish their G&T’s and toss a coin._____________________________

My view, for what it’s worth, is that it should have been a penalty yesterday, but it wasn’t given…a refereeing error and a VAR error. It just sums up everything that is wrong with VAR. It actually causes more controversy than it resolves, so what’s the point of it apart from giving Adlab another excuse to claim that there is a conspiracy against his team. Is there a conspiracy against Sheffield Utd, is there a conspiracy against Liverpool for the decision at Old Trafford the other week, or the penalty that wasn’t given to us against Newcastle when Matip was wrestled to the ground. No, of course there isn’t. It’s human error, exactly what fans have been moaning about since the 1870s. So again, I ask what is the point of VAR? It is ruining the game, but to be so paranoid as to think there is a conspiracy against your team, whoever you support, is plain ridiculous
