Just watched the last 25 minutes of Real Virus vs The Glorious Spuds, and basically reminded myself why I never bother watching pre-season friendlies… I think the highlight was watching Virus make a five-player sub at the same time and the poor bugger with the board getting all confused. Took 90 seconds…

Chucxky I caught the whole game, pre-season games like you say don’t tell you a lot, but there were a couple of standout performances Ndombele was excellent as was Lamela . Danny Rose looked good but Dele still getting caught on the ball a lot.ZZ has got his work cut out and dare I say it might be beyond him even after £250m spent .

ABBA… sounds like I missed all the good bits… that wee Japanese lad Virus poached from Barca looks a handful though, might have to keep an eye on him.
But as for the rest of the match… as crap as it was, Spuds were either simply better, or they were simply fitter and ran around a bit more… hard to tell really!

More strange comments from Poch. Another potential contender there for Real if Zidane’s return is short lived.
I’ve always been somewhat underwhelmed whenever I’ve seen Dybala in the big games. Although, considering Lukaku is surplus to requirements at Utd, a swap deal would be a no brainer. Have a suspicion it could end up being Di Maria version 2, though.

My view on Dybala is that he’s probably more of a United player than Lukaku and will be better suited to the football Ole wants to play my worry would be that maybe like Morata he could struggle with the physicallity of the PL.

Yeah all good points on Dybala. Could either be a superstar or a massive flop. I’d edge towards the latter. Considering Lukaku hasn’t really kicked on, though, it’s probably a gamble worth taking. We’ll be short of forward options if Lukaku goes and Dybala is a much more fluid forward than Lukaku.
Chucky, it’s quite a big story the Poch comments. He’s always good for a strange quote ?
