That was the deal on the table at the time Adlab because of the low transfer fee involved let’s not forget City bid £60m for Sanchez in the previous Summer which was circa £30m less than United signed him for given the valuation of Miki.

City couldn’t go there United could.

Arguably Sanchez might have done better under Pep given their previous history we’ll never know now though but in retrospect it probably was to City’s advantage.

its an odd one
great player, one of the fstest, still young, proven goal scorer but wants to leave as unhappy at lack of playing time, the amount being bandied around isnt even that much in this age (£60m?)
but it also shows a well run club, other clubs would stick him on double salary, breaking the structure, making other players wnat more
at least your club say OK move on if you dont want to be here and part of the project and free up some funds for a squad revamp to replace aging and retiring stars…

A transfer ban might turn out to be a blessing in disguise given the breadth and quality of our young players.
