My “obsession” with other clubs finances is that having little profit and massive debt is ok but investment not by way of loans from an owner isnt. Any other business -equity investment is deemed far better. It just defeats me why not in football? If that is against FFP.?.?? OKWe will see,

Adlab, if the evidence highlighted by Der Spiegel is kosher like it or not mate you’re in trouble according to the FFP rules. It’s a simple rule you can’t spend more than you legitimately make. Best left for the investigation to take its course.

Whether anyone disagrees with the rules is completely irrelevant if City have broken them. I don’t blame any of the clubs for pushing for investigation if they themselves have been hamstrung by FFP. Why wouldn’t they want to be competing under the same rules?

Nil, as we’ve discussed on here previously due to the compact nature of the site there aren’t currently any purely Club sites on Footyplace as there aren’t enough posters to support individual Club sites on Footyplace even a Liverpool Club site which is why all threads appear on the main site.

This is kinda inflammatory. If you want to call our club small, I think that’s pretty funny because it’s quite the opposite. We have 5 Champions League titles. We are one of the biggest clubs on the planet and honestly, we’re a much bigger club than yours in all but financial backing. If you want to qualify that then you’re supporting a wallet.
watching us win the CL in 05 was the most magical and incredible night of my football supporting life. Nothing has come close to it. I know that City have something huge in the chamber also, with the Aguero goal. That literally made my hair stand up on my neck. it’s one f my favourite non-Liverpool footballing moment but I;m not the one saying that one club is acting like a small club.
Now, as you read the above you may think it’s said with bitterness, I’m writing this to be clear because I can’t put an inflection on this. it is kinda firm but I hold no grudge. I am just making a point.
As for the whole FFp discussion, it is very obvious that City and PSG are getting massive amounts of money in an indirect manner. They’ve bypassed FFP in technical terms and apparently also broken FFP rules. We’ll see about the latter but the former is as plain as day. City were getting silly money for sponsorship deals and the like before their name even suggested a fraction of the value. If we’re going to talk about how small LFc apparently are then we’ve got to look at this.
Fact is, all that juicing and we’ve given you a run for your money up to this point. I don’t think we can go any further really but who knows, maybe we’ll win the title. Another Leicester /s

It is the action of the small not the big.” whether he was right or not to couch it like that isn’t he claiming in what he said that Liverpool are a big Club and not a small Club that’s the way I read it anyway. From how I read it there was no slur on Liverpool, however I don’t believe that statement should hold water, as it shouldn’t be below any club to report cheating or insist on it being investigated, in fact it should be applauded……Pagan

UEFA, Fifa anf FA when they need some petty cash to keep there expenses going they think….who can we fine to day,,,or let us make a rule where we can cash in. What they fail to do everytime is support the lower league clubs. As to der Spiegel…they are in it to sell print and win some obscure award..I would have thought they need to look at there economy a little more

On the title of this thread, going forward we need a rich oil baron to take over the club or we will continue to fight for top 4 & challenge the rich clubs every few seasons. That’s not a shot at FSG, they have been great owners & done everything they said they would but it’s not enough when your competing with pretty much unlimited funds.

City already been fined £16m and had their CL squad reduced , have limited their spending this season to just over £6m net. And are currently under further investigation by UEFA.
