27th February 2024 at 6:35 pm #212831Mak, I thought you already were aware re Trent and Ali duration; thus my post last week re Kelleher. I feel different about it all. Different synergy amongst the group of guys stepping in and taking ownership.

28th February 2024 at 1:03 am #212839(apologies for the meandering post but I think it’s worth reading)
I think I told you that I was diagnosed with ADHD a few years ago. A lot of things make sense after, but ya, I can kinda skip elements of text when Im reading sometimes.
Feels a bit weird to bring that up but look, it’s just something that happens. it’s annoyed many a friend πI will say that this is a very long time for us to be without Alisson.
I will speak highly of Kelleher as a backup keeper but I know he’s not fully developed. I think we’ve kinda stunted his potential a bit if Im honest.what I don’t get is how a kid can step into the shoes of Alisson at all.
here I am calling him a kid but he’s 25.. wow.(I just looked it up because I thought… we’ve had him a long time).it’s so weird because I kinda feel bad that we’ve kept him from realising his potential. Klopp said it best when he said that “if Ireland has a better keeper…” and he’s right but he’s not playing for a first team except for now.. and he basically won us the carabao Cup.
The thing is, it’s not the first time…Has he actually won more cups than Alisson? I think he might have.
So we’re keeping this guy back, offering him a pretty amazing chance to win silverware.
I nearly said that he wont ever win a league title, but he’s helped us win a few PL matches already.Alisson is the best keeper in the world, right? Like this is generally accepted? .. Kelhher has to come in and cover for this guy. Any mistake can cost us dearly..
he has to face man City soon. he has to step up and cover all these huge games.
I just don’t know how he does it.Nil, Im not going to sit here and tell you that some of these games wont get away from Kelleher, but he is a backup keeper and Klopp might actually be serious when he says that he’s the best backup keeper in the world.
I say this knowing that something will probably happen in the games to come, that remind us about the world “back up”.. but he won us the LC.
I could never stand up to the amount of stress that a backup keeper has to take. These people are truly special. this is your mentality monster.

2nd March 2024 at 8:02 pm #212885Klopp’s hand has been forced no doubt with the injuries though I believe everything happens for a reason.
The way the ‘Business Model’ is more than ever for the Big Clubs in Money is that you have millions of pounds sitting on the bench as your back up.
We have been in rebuild and transition and I would assert Scaffolding is still in place. Lots and Lots of players if you think after our 2022 Triumphs to now (It’s kinda where it all started (Sadio Mane!)).
Mac Allister, Endo, and Zobo True Hats Off.
I’ve always cried in the past in principle in relation to the Model that the there is a Cycle of the Youth from the Academy (or signed up from elsewhere) is given the opportunity to be unleashed and blossom.
This has manifested through circumstance and almost in an abundance that’s so far given us none other than JOY.
Our senior Players are Essential in Absolute, but from everything delivered from our kids, this will not be dismissed and forgotten.

4th March 2024 at 11:50 am #213006Mo should definitely be available for Sunday. Sparta Prague First. Kelleher has been exceptional, but my vehement points on him raised is not to fault him alone but the circumstance he is in. He has played a lot of Matches. Alisson won’t be back till the end of the month.
It’s a testament that our defenders are back to the levels they once were in Van Dijk and Konate. They have not let up since Arsenal.
Bradley too has been a sensation. We have asked a lot of Gomez and fair play to him. Our Midfield are coming back slowly which we will need. So much appreciation goes to our so-called fringe or squad players that have stepped up week in week out. Harvey Elliot being one of them. Could be a telling week this week.
I don’t know how, but I’m pretty sure, we’ve occupied that Top Spot without being taken off it for lots of weeks. That may well change, but that should inspire us to go for all 3 points. It’ll be a rocking Anfield.

6th March 2024 at 5:24 pm #213030Salah is back in full training, or that is my understanding of it. I guess that means that he’ll start versus City (as long as things go well). Just hope we don’t give him too many minutes against Sparta. I am sure our sports science/medical staff will know exactly what to give him t4o best condition him for what will be a very tiring match against City.
Is anyone else shitting themselves over the City game though?
I’m very worried about it. I have a horrible feeling that we’re just going to be too weakened for them but on paper, we should have a pretty strong team (considering).I’d use this first leg against Sparta purely to rest those who are tired and to help returning players gain fitness.
We should be more than capable of winning the entire tie in the 2nd leg.
Issue I hadn’t thought of is that this is a plane trip that players like Salah really could do without._____________________________

7th March 2024 at 6:41 pm #213031I threw a 10er on Nunez to score 2 times. Ya, kinda mental but the lad is getting better and better lately. plus when I saw the team we have out there. I was only worried he’d be taken off before he got the 2nd…
itsa still not saying that I’ve won the ebet though, even though I absolutely have.
threw 20 on us to win both halves also.
with Salah and 2 others to come on and push for match fitness, I think we’ve a good chance
seriously, how good has Kelleher been?
I think the defense has got to sharpen up a bit because they are getting too many chances. Kellaher isn’t going to keep them out all night. Good thing we have a huge cushion though, but still… One goal could light the stadium up._____________________________

But what about that for a Statement Victory?! Not only for Europa, but this Weekend. Nunez: Second Season Syndrome haha. I’m simply hoping no injuries. Kelleher oh my goodness; words hard to find beyond Outstanding.
Macca physically is a beast.

8th March 2024 at 5:15 am #213033I know that you lads and probably most Liverpool fans all look to Endo as our best midfield signing this season but it is Mac Allister for me. He took a few games to find his feet, and it’s really fair to note that he was being played as a 6, getting used to that and a new team at the same time…
He has come on leaps and bounds though. What a player!
As for the team though, great performance alright. I just hope Konate is ok.
Tszboslazi got one hell of a workout there. He needs that shar3pness as you could well see but he was really pressing for a goal. So, himself and Salah got a very valuable run out, with Sunday in mind.As you say Nil, just please no injuries and I think we’ve used this match as great preparation for the City game. It gives me a little glimmer of hope to see so many of our team now back and seemingly ready to go.
Kelleher has been sensational in covering for Alisson.
I really don’t think it’s fair that we keep him anymore though. We’ve got to let this lad go and be a number 1 for another PL side, he’s good enough, and we should get a fortune for him at this stage.
i think we’ve kinda turned him into a bit of a late developer, because he hasn’t been getting as many first team matches as you’d expect from a player his age. Of course, I guess we’ll see what post-Klopp looks like. If Alisson were to ask to leave also, then obviously we’d want to keep this lad and sign backup, right?it would be a big step from here alright and he might have some patches in there, but I think he’s that good.
I’d obviously still prefer that we had Alisson in there for the City game, as that is going to be a monumental task for him, and looking at the chances that our defence gave away in this win, I think I see a lot that City will bury, so we’ll have to step it up there, but Van Dijk should start there, and his special brand of hearing style defending will be useful._____________________________

After initial approach and new attept revealed in the last two months, itβs now done.

15th September 2024 at 11:30 am #215596One of the big standouts whether or not this draws a parallel to Jurgen’s first term with us is into the unknown and going in with no PL Experience against Nuno who obviously has to his name PL Experience managing Wolves and Spurs in Example.
We just were not at the races yesterday. My worry is the loss being at Anfield. I think prior to the Atalanta and Palace defeats, we really were rock-solid; in fact, formidable.
I’m not sure why we were what we were but what we don’t want to allow is for us to be dropping levels and thereafter become a mid-table inconsistent side.
My personal target for these guys after this defeat is to aim to go 10 without defeat.

Be more results like yday but no need to panic. It took klopp a while to get is really going. Arnie needs patience and support

15th September 2024 at 1:11 pm #215598Sean, I get what you mean mate and do agree.
I was a bit surprised with our 3 wins; the Portman Road game could have ended in a draw, the Man United game could have ended in defeat.
Yesterday was quite a kick in the teeth more towards us not turning up in front our of own supporters on home soil.
Slot will need time and support. No signings letting out the elephant in the room all summer and letting go of Carvalho does leave disappointment.
He’s got to surely be backed to go out and bring in some new faces and top names too.

15th September 2024 at 6:27 pm #215619I didn’t see much of the game, actually turned it on just as the replays of their goal were being shown, so difficult to comment on what exactly went wrong. But by the sounds of it the players were rushing their passes and thus not connecting with them and it was all a bit uncontrolled and not what Slot is trying to do. Not surprising as he didnt have the week to work with the players as most were away and they probably reverted back to what is their more natural game, the higher tempo Klopp played at.
The previous games he had no disruptions and they continued from a sucessful preseason. I know all managers are affected by the international break to some degree, but it disrupts those trying to enforce a new style far more than those teams whose style is already ingrained. Hopefully this is just a one off being so early as coach of Liverpool.
Nil, couple of things. The Utd game was no where near a defeat, what you talking about? And why not replacing a player who barely ever played for us, spent last season on loan and had a reputation as a poor trainer leave disapointment? Makes zero sense. The club did well getting what they got for him.

15th September 2024 at 7:11 pm #215620Three P’s good point raised on the passes rushed; I agree with you there. I watched on another Redmen Tv a regular match-goer highlighting the same point on passing observing sloppiness.
I also agree with you on the point of Inter Duty. I noted we had an unchanged line up. The point I made using Carvarlo as an example was that he had a good pre-season in my eyes and would have impressed Slot, so I don’t understand why he was sold regardless of the good sale we made from him.
We don’t have new faces and ones in which can come off the bench and change the game. Nunez isn’t going to be and becomes a passenger the more I see of him.
To assert that we can go places with this squad and win trophies this season without any new additions that could really make a difference would deep down just be naive or in denial.
