Sean, unfortunately in this day and age keepers are a protected species, and it seems any contact is regarded as a foul. Having said that he did jump into him (which he had to if he wanted to challenge for the ball) and if you jump into a player it doesn’t matter if your hands are up or down.
Personally I’d like to see a little bit less protection for keepers, but that’s the way it is and as such the goal was ruled out in line with today’s precedents…Pagan

hmmmm I guess I really do need another look if a Utd fan is saying it isnt but I was pretty sure from the replay. I guess in my own mind, if I see a keepers arms up to catch a ball and if they are impeded, I know it’ll be blown up. Thats the standard I am used to.
