I definitely would go back in time and not talk about my personal life but what’s done is done, I’m sure Brendan Rodger’s 329,839th fan (he said I can quote him on this) appreciates that as much as myself.

it just doesnt make sense, none of it, so you use quotes so when you answer a query it shows what you are answering, why is that a “thing”?!

its a shame and i know we all like to be private but dont feel youve said or mentioned anything that anyone (other than Nil) would remotely judge you on.

I wish I knew why this was arrogant. But no, I guess there are posts where I do this to argue against multiple points where I disagree. Then I guess it’s just down to how I say things and I’m sure I come across as arrogant sometimes. He didn’t say specifically what though, even when asked. I don’t really mind , I know I’ve not been perfect on here. I was a bit cocky with Bricks (didnt know it was his new username). I wasn’t serious when I said that Robertson didnt foul the Spurs lad and needed a letter of apology etc… I would have imagined that it was obvious that i was taking the piss there though.
Funny story about that is I initially had the other incident in mind… the very much a nothing shin tap that was actually off the ball…. but leaving that alone! 😛

Mak..I suffered the same fate as you being unemployed, 4 kids to bring up and could not get any social help for 6 weeks (“they” said) It does cause stress and I hope you find a way through, you have good moral on the forum apart from the oddity. It’s a shame cos he’s been pretty well behaved on the whole recently, and I’ve enjoyed his posts (when I could make sense of them). He obviously has serious issues, and that outburst against Mak was just pathetic. As Ed said his list of people on here ready to give him another chance is diminishing by the day, and I fear we’ve seen the last of him for a good while.
For me, I would just call him a t**t and move on, and just ignore what he says. No-one takes what he says seriously anyway. However, it wasn’t me he had a go at and I understand everyone reacts differently, and he obviously touched a nerve with you, Mak. I’m kind of split on my feelings about him. Does he just crave the attention? Is he just a depressed alcoholic? Will banning him from here have an adverse effect on him personally, and exacerbate his problems. I really don’t know the answer, but I fear he’s pushed people too far this time.

HH-It will most probably lead to his problems being exacerbated,long-term to @ least,if not earlier.Being a Christian entails people forgiving each-other,and I really hope Mak & Nil extend an virtual sincere apology & handshake to each-other.The chances are that most of us will never meet in real life,life in general is a pin in the bum for all of us,so why add extra probs about a game of 11 extremely well paid men in shorts.

HH, somw gopd points man. Its mostly about the timing of what he said..it touched a nerve and I also just wasnt expecting it I guess but as I say, I know I’m no saint myself. I poked my nose into his nonsense with Sean, I guess I couldnt help myself but was it helpful? I dunno… I would much rather keep Sean than Nil but as the person who is blamed for getting Nil permanently banned from TT, as annoyed with his crap earlier, I am wary of this situation too.
Of course the TT days were much different and I openly called for him to be bammed. He was much worse then.
Mav, Im an atheist myself but Ive a lot of time for a genuinely good Christian. I’ll not kick up a fuss if Nil is unbanned but I wont call for it either..i dont want an apology from him because he wouldnt mean it. I can definitely let this go though, so its up to yourselves.
Brian, I guess sometimes I could do witj mellowing out a bit and Nil maybe had a point about me repeating myself a bit. I drew a line in the sand for when im ok with calling the PL title and the games just arent coming soon enough for me to be able to confirm or delay my own judgement (not the same aa celebrations).
I guess, rehashing has been an issie here for sure. Im just excited for these next 2 games. Season defining.

Mav – Mak has nothing to apologise for, and as for Nil, I have never ever seen him apologise to anyone on either this forum or TT. I’ve been surprised how when he has been allowed back on that his first post back hasn’t been a sincere apology to all. It’s as though nothing ever happens and he never admits what he’s done wrong.
I know when I first met up with Gary (gjblues) last year, I’m sure we both were concerned that the other may be a d******d, but that went really well, and we’ve met up a couple of times since. I’m sure if we all did meet up, we’d all get on, but it will never happen. Mind you, of all the people on here, it is Nil I would be most curious to meet!! (but probably not in a pub!)
Talking of you, Gary, if you’re reading this, it’s about time we met up for another beer or two and talk about the other d*******s on here!

To be fair I don’t think Mak can be blamed for reacting as he did he’s explained why he reacted to what Nil said and that seems fair enough to me it was also the second unprovoked attack from Nil in a few days following on from his attack on Sean and both came from nowhere.
The Ed had taken his decision re blocking Nil and I think that should be respected including his explanation. Let’s wait and see how all this eventually plays out.
I understand Mav’s point about exacerbating Nil’s problems and ultimately that may be something that needs to be taken into consideration equally though it might be better for Nil’s well being not to be participating on a football forum.
Let’s all try and get back to discussing the footy and see how things evolve.
