So Germany is in lockdown with only essential shops open yet there’s a stack of people out and about living their lives as they always have and contributing to the threat. That being the case they may as well have all their businesses up and running as per normal. Fines of $1,000 on the spot happening here and we are not even in total lockdown yet. The majority of people practising social distancing quite well too. Went for my daily two hour walk this morning and most people appear to be focused on survival. Only 14 dead here at this point in time and many of those were let off of a cruise ship in error.

I’m not sure football matters any more but media reports suggest that there’s a!ready a shift in opinion amongst PL Clubs towards voiding this Season and starting anew and afresh in September?

This is something I predicted might happen awhile back when I forecast the desire to finish this Season might diminish amongst PL Clubs as time went by with no likely restart date in sight.

There’s another PL meeting on April 3rd but I don’t think it will give us any great insight as to how all this might conclude in terms of football.

If we’re playing football though before next September I’ll be suprised and personally I think that should probably be the start of a new season.

Nothing that finally happens will please everyone especially with the PL title, CL and EL places and Relegation and Promotions still to be finalised

Further reports today claim that PL Clubs have been instructed not to use the term null and void to describe time having to ultimately be called on this Season instead they’ve been instructed to use the word curtailed which allegedly gives the PL more legal protection against claims from the Broadcasters with the PL looking to claim “force majeure”?

Everyone should watch the interview with Matt Dockray on Sky who is a recovering Coronavirus patient as moving as it was worrying credit to Matt for coming on to Sky and sharing his terrible experience.

I doubt anyone not following the new Government regulations would be doing so after watching that.

This is real scary stuff stay safe all.

Dreadful.

Football. Finances will be dessimated even for tbe Premier League. No more silly wages and transfer fees for a while

Given the instruction to use curtailed suggests finishing due to circumstances outside control so then insurance kicks in. Strongly indicates season may not finish.

Sean-Yes mate,I work for the WHO and stationed in West Africa,in Nigeria but we also cover Chad,CAR,Cameroon,Benin,Togo,Ghana,Ivory Coast,Liberia,etc.Nobody knows for sure mate,the vaccine could be months away,but the Governments worldwide have a major,potentially devastating decision to make,as we discussed yesterday:what do you do with the economy,as you cant keep the entire white world on lockdown for too long.
On the other hand,if CV is doing all this carnage to the most powerfull economies of the world,imagine the impact it will have on Africa,certain parts of Asia and S.America.Like I posted yesterday,we are already dealing with Ebola,imagine having Covid-19 to deal with as well….

Sean if the supermarkets are the same as here, its not a “rush on food” its that even the relly big ones are only allowing a certain number of people in so quees form, and as those people try to stay 2m apart they become really long ones very quick, i went a few days ago and gave up, few days before that i could shop normally….going to have to go queue real soon tho as running out of grub!
