Cm, good points yday about Salah, kdb etcbut as you say Conte has earned the right to pick his own players.

Director of football has worked in a lot of clubs. Liverpool have made so many bad choices over the years with players. The committee hindered Rodgers. He wanted van dyk years ago. We have wasted so much money.

Time will tell if it’s different now but when Klopp spends big it has worked out so far. Time will tell with vvd but even ox is coming on now. I just think the manager should always have the final say on who comes and goes. I’d give Conte full control to keep him. I can’t thibk of any better managers around Chelsea could get

I think its universally accepted nowadays that, if you want a guaranteed quality, you have to pay a huge amount to get it. that is what United has paid for Pogba’s quality, that is what City paid for Walker and Mendy, that is what Barcelona paid for Coutinho, that is what PSG has paid for Neymar, and that is what Liverpool have paid for Van Dijk. quality comes at a cost. clubs know that and will hike up the price for the big boys.

As for Conte and his future, in his last press conference on Friday, he has put the ball in to the club’s court. but i feel he himself isn’t doing enough, by constantly moan about the club’s decision isn’t helpful for me. personally i had been his biggest fan even before he arrived at Chelsea. he has alot of passion and is a no nonsense man. although at a times he may cross the red line. i.e. the Costa sms, and the “Senile Dementia” comment. but largely he is the perfect manager for Chelsea. but you can’t keep a man against his wish, if he wants to sign then i will be the happiest Chelsea fan, if he don’t although i will be disappointed massively, at the end of the day i have my loyalty to Chelsea Football Club, and whoever comes to that hotseat will have my full loyalty. likewise Hazard and Courtois should either sign or declare that they want to leave. you can’t hold the club hostage, and it can’t drag forever. big summer is ahead of us, i’m confident the club will get it right, fingers crossed.

The big problem between Conte and the club is on transfer strategy.

If that doesn’t get fixed and there’s no sign of it being fixed currently there will imo almost certainly be a mutual consent deal struck between him and the club and he will leave in the Summer.

I’m a big fan of Conte but I’m getting frustrated with his it’s not my business I’m just the Coach comments every time a question pops up about transfer targets in his press conferences.

He joined Chelsea under the terms that they offered him and fully knew what the rules were on transfer strategy if he couldn’t live with those terms he shouldn’t have signed the contract.

…. Realistically Chelsea fans have to be prepared for the possibility of all of Conte,Hazard, and Courtois leaving in the Summer.

At least we will be well compensated for the latter two and if we spend it wisely it won’t be a massive problem. I’m sure the club has backup plans for all three.

Spot on 999, that also frustrates me. by constantly moaning about the transfers Conte is giving the impression that all is not well at the club. which gives the media and enemies outside the club the ammunition to destabilize the club. aside from that i’m also a massive fan of Conte. as for the Hazard and Courtois. i don’t like their attitude towards the club. they should sign or shipped out with significant amount. after all we had been successful without keeping anyone. and i’m confident the club can replicate that success in the next decade.

Courtois and Hazard, both or @ least one of them is playing games with the club about signing their respective contracts,by saying:I will sign after/or before he signs first!

To be honest Maverick1973 i have got no problem with either of them leaving. or both leaving at the end of the season. i will be disappointed but still i won’t throw the towel. at the end of the day i get used to these kind of scenarios repeating. we had lost so many great managers as well as great players. so its not a surprise for us Chelsea fans. but i was hoping that a club to be stable for now and give the manager to build a dynasty finally. but if the club is skeptical about giving full control, and like i said before with good reason. then the manager must either accept or move on. but both outcomes are possible. it can either be the club gives some form of control for Conte to sign, or Conte accepts and continues, or both sides agree to terminate his contract by mutual consent. and if reports from the press in the last few months are to be believed, the third option is the likely one.

Hazard said consistently that he wants to play for Zidane, what happens with the deal if Real Madrid opt to sack him at some point in this season or at the end of it? will Hazard still want to join them? or will he sign a new contract or still want to join Real Madrid? Courtois is understandable as he has been with Athletico before and will not have to adapt with the City. and he is the most replaceable of the two. but i have full confidence in Roman and the club to handle this matter carefully.

CHM-Hazard has always said it that he grew-up supporting Real Madrid, but ZZ has been his idol! Just like CR7,Hazard it seems “dreams” of playing for Real Madrid.

IF Hazard wants to join Real Madrid, he should say it publicly like Ronaldo did it back in 2008. i will have no problem as long as we get Β£150m and above. that can buy us like for like replacement. and i won’t mind if Real Madrid throws some players who could be useful to us ala Assensio or Isco. as for Courtois we have already started the process to replace him. i think the club know his position and is preparing life without him. for me he can be replaced. we have replaced Cech who was the best keeper the PL has seen since Peter Schmeichel. and i see no reason why we can’t with Courtois. but that said i will be happy if both sign plus we retain Conte.

Sean, I would say at least that possibly with Asensio as part of the deal.

As Maverick rightly says Hazard grew up supporting Real and his hero was Zidane and he would like to be coached by him and at 27 if he doesn’t move in the Summer it will be probably be too late for him.

But if Zidane gets the white handkerchiefs as well he might given Real’s current plight we might see a different outcome.

I mean I understand why players like Zidane are seen as idols buy certain people but I would like to aim much higher when it comes to on field ability and pure class admiration, I look up to the skills of Maradonna, Pele, De Stefano, Puskas and also Best, thats what you really call super talented. I think Messi can also be added to that list at some point.

Based on our current struggles and the fact that we are having difficulty in breaking down teams that sit and have 10 men behind the ball. i don’t think if Assensio is the right man we need. i would say on our current needs, Isco is the man we need and we should be demanding him, and at the start of this season Isco had one year left in his contract, i don’t know what has happened since then. if Isco hasn’t signed a contract by now we should be going for him. surely he will be a very useful help to Morata and he will be the key to unlock so many defences in the PL.

You won’t find many better class players than Zidane. in his prime he was a joy to watch. and what i liked about him is the fact that he was always humble and never been as arrogant as these footballers of nowadays. i would have him ahead of Maradona as Maradona was a cheat. Zidane’s achievement was purely down to hard-work and individual brilliance. he is my number one footballer in the last 50 years. although i can’t say that 100% as my colleagues who watched football in the 80s,70s and 60s will have their say. but for me while i was growing up he was my number one footballer, closely followed by Ronaldo9. Also Ronaldinho was good although he has peaked too early. but Zidane was a class on his own.

Chelseaman, Isco is contracted until 2022 and Asensio until 2023 I would have either or both? but I think it will be simpler to get Asensio over Isco and Asensio has already said he wants to go if Hazard arrives.

I’m still relying on Zidane getting the tin tack which might scupper any deal for Hazard.?

ppt, Chelsea don’t give a Manager full say on transfers and run with a Sporting Director primarily because the average life of a Manager even a title winning Manager at Chelsea rightly or wrongly is only 2 to 3 years.
