Just want to mention that Kane has played 9 more league games over the last 4 seasons than Grealish has… it’s a bit of a myth that Harry is a bit injury-prone… personally, I’d be more worried about Jack!

maybe so Chuky but I was really referring to when players get older, injuries become more common and longer to get over. I have always said Kane is a very good player many times, in my opinion he would be a risk too much for City at this level of investment and I doubt he would fit City’s style of play, but then again, that is just me, I am not Pep who knows more than me. IF, we get him I doubt we would get a full season out of him, a lot of money for that. We experienced that with Augerro and to a lesser extent with Dzeko, who I liked but was also frustrating.

I have an uneasy feeling that KDB fitness will be an on going thing this season, we have seen it before with Augerro and we do not want it again with Kane. Interesting what Pep was saying that at certain ages niggles become more pronounced, nothing can be done about it, just age and wear and tear. Of course some exceptions exist, Messi, Ronaldo even our own Fernandinho and latterly David Silva but they are few and far between.I can see a brighter picture with Foden, Delap, Palmer and a few others from the Academy though but they need to mature like Foden is doing. I hope Laporte settles down, good goal, with his right foot too!! Strikers instinct!! Amusing myself, I wonder what would happen if we put Ederson at CF!!!! One thing, it would be lively

I really enjoy this part of the season, unexpected results, pundits getting it wrong, transfers that never happen and some that do. Same old story lines keep appearing which means most Managers are not saying much. Nobody has a clue who will be top next week.

Cityboy….yes, we do not want Ronaldo as well, even older than Kane and doubt he is up for EPL now, as good as he is (was)? I still prefer a young aggressive striker if we have to have one but to be honest I am OK with what we have apart from a few I would like to put up for Sale.

Ronaldo news is just as depressing as the Kane mutiny !!!! Ok for a season, maybe, but to me this is an over reaction by City not getting business done earlier and for younger players. I know Ronaldo is still fit for his age and can conjure up some magic but I fear it will not be enough on a consistent level and also feel he will not appear that many times. However, as a short term fix that is about as much as we can expect now.

Looks like Ronaldo might happen.
Obviously Ronaldo is a short term solution but Pep is only looking two seasons ahead now anyway and his wages are crazy which if replicated at City might cause problems with players like KDB but he’s a great plan b imo he’s desperate to win the CL again which is a key City objective and he will give City even more of a chance of retaining the PL too.
He could work out to be the signing of the Summer if he helps City do a PL/CL Double even at 37 in February he still knows where the goal is.

He’s 36 and in fantastic shape. He be perfect for city through the middle. City create loads of chances and he will gobble them up all day long
