The salary would never make sense but if we get him for no more than say 5 million then the outlay maybe worth the risk, plus very tight contractual conditions. I do not think it would upset other players, they are all part of the same scenario, all well paid and well looked after. If players want to leave they can subject to the fee As to Ronaldo joining, another risk too far for me We will not find a 25/30 goal striker now but I would be happy enough to let this window close, lets not forget, we have signed Grealish and Foden will be back soon

Brian both great players but Foden scored 9 PL goals in 28 games last season and Grealish scored 6 PL goals in 26 games for Villa neither are regular goal scorers.
It worked for City last season playing without a striker and City are still a great team but it might not work so well playing without a striker this season and City have more competition this season too.
All very interesting though.

Nine..if we are just talking PL ok. but without a striker City have at least 8 players capable of scoring a minimum of 10 goals each, not saying they will but opposing teams will be aware of that and with City style of play I do not think it is unreasonable assumption. Plus I expect goals from Diaz, Stones and Laporte Also other teams will have strikers Kane/Lukaka/Salah being the most obvious, it will then come down to how our defence performs.I think we are still short of a good defensive midfielder though, Fernandinho will not be able to manage all the season

Brian, I would never rule City out of retaining the PL title buddie they are a very fine team but City playing without a striker although it worked for them last season I think gives the chasing pack more of a chance it’s a risk for City imo and clearly one that Pep was trying to avoid.

Nice to see Kompany and Silva honoured with two statues but I hope they do not forget past players who deserve a place…Frank Swift, captained City and England. Alan Oakes most appearances and a very consistent player. Ken Barnes. I could add matt Busby who captained City in a very good city team in the 30. but doubt that will go down well with some, red or blue. We may end up with a Theme Park if I add any more!!!!

We need to pick up points, at the end of next month we have 3 away games in succession. Chelsea, PSG and Liverpool. that will be a real test for the squad, Messi and Neymar included

Arsenal were poor but I do not believe it is ALL the managers fault. Players get paid to put better effort in than that. They are on the pitch not the manager, nothing worse than lack of effort and not one of them trying to pull them together. If we had been playing a lower division team they would have at least given city a game, The 10 men served as an excuse not what was happening. I have levelled this criticism at City in the past when a whole team did not turn up, I just do not understand footballers at times. I hope Arsenal take some lessons from it, next game is bigger than a Final for them

Just watched the Real Madrid v City Ladies. 1-1. Game strewn with mistakes but I guess it was the first match, well it was for City and it shown. result fair. Had to laugh at the end though, the lady commentator said one player was MAN of the match!!!!! I have to think about that!!!!

Try as they did…they lost and out we go. Move on and concentrate on next game.. I think the game was too early for us with the new players and lack of match ‘s. We missed Lucy Bronze and Cloe Kelly a couple of others. but no excuses to a good Real Madrid team

Pagan,I watched it , full match on City TV,after the England game, a good game really, just dissapointed we lost but that is what football is all about, you have to take the losses even when you play well.The skill level of some of these ladies is really good to see and hope the game develops further for them all.

Just watched a full match replay of the 2014 LC Final v. Sunderland which we won 3-1. What a team we had starting, with 6 true City legends: Pantillimon, Zabaletta, Kompany, De Michaelis, Kolarov, Nasri, Silva, Fernandinho, Yaya, Dzeko and Aguero.
I did go to the game and remember two outstanding goals from Yaya and Nasri. In fact all four goals were quality. Memories, eh?_____________________________

That was a really good team Gi, Zaba,Kompany, Yaya. (pre birthday cake) nasri, fernandinho,Silva Augerro and even Dzeko, although like Sterling to day…totaly frustrate me. I think back and feel I was lucky to see that era develop
