Team talk is a f’ing joke of a site, I’ve also emailed problems logging on & keep getting they hope it’ll be fixed soon. What a load of bollox, I won’t be bothering any longer.

Absolutely Klopp is a big factor. No defensive mid to cover a shocking D & no out & out striker. I get we expect goals from midfield but we need 10 chances before we get a goal the way it is. Teams are figuring us out & we have no plan B. Klopp seems to think we can press teams into error & the attack will take it from there but we can’t convert many chances whilst the back is being exposed all the time. No disrespect intended but if Watford bang 3 past you your doing something wrong. We will concede around 50 yet again & with teams figuring out how to hurt us we can’t expect to just out score everyone like we do, we need a plan B. We have no spine & Henderson as a captain is embarrassing, he has zero qualities of a good captain.
Klopp is a very good manager but he needs to adapt to the rigours of the EPL & be able to change his ways where required if LFC is to become one of the big boys again._____________________________

Absolutely, Teamtalk is beyond a joke now. Maybe all the bloody adverts have effected it.
Ed, for all the chances Liverpool create it seems to tasks 20 before 1 goes in. We all know about the defensive car crash but I think we also need a 20+ striker. Not many teams win much without one & we will be no different.
Getting out of the group stages & a top 4 spot will be a good season for us. Haha I’m sounding like I support Arsenal. If only we were as consistent as them over the years._____________________________

Mane incident was not intentional but was the correct decision. C$ty were well up for the game & I don’t think the sending off changed the result, the score may not have been as bad but I think the result would’ve been the same. TAA looked like a deer in the headlights & Moreno & Klavan produced the usual LFC defender circuis. Matip is no innocent either, as good as he sometimes is he is far from the commanding CB Liverpool need to stop leaking like a sieve. He comes across as too polite & is nowhere near vocal enough to dominate. You start a game against a team like that with Klavan & Moreno in it, with no DM to protect them & you’re gunna get a slappin.
Liverpool seem to be a team that can blow you off the park with high intensity attack but if things don’t work out on that front the team looks clueless & has no plan B.
I do expect a top 4 challenge for LFC but I think it’ll be a lot like last season where it will go down to the wire. No team that concedes around 50 goals will be anywhere near a title challenge & that’s what will happen again this season at LFC._____________________________

Yeah Ed, Pool v c$ty should be an attacking extravaganza, problem is though it’s not just c$ty’s fragile defence that will struggle with the attacking speed, our lot aren’t exactly mourinho like water tight.

Maybe I’m reading a bit much into it but I get the feeling Couts is gone & we are working on finalising replacement/s before it’s announced. I reckon he would’ve made some statement or something if he was staying but it’s all very quiet & as I said I think he will be gone by Friday. To be honest I won’t be that upset provided we do indeed get a good replacement. He obviously doesn’t want to be here so I say go join what looks to be a deteriorating Barca.
I won’t be bothered If he stays either, as long as he puts in & play like he has previously.
Still some movement to come in this window I’m thinking & I think it’ll be pretty good business for us._____________________________

Great performance from Liverpool there, flattered Arsenal to be fair. I’m interested to see how Manu go against a top team but it doesn’t look like they’ll be playing any, did they pay to have an easy start to the season :>)).
Out of all the teams I think Liverpool will actually struggle the most against Manu, they will be typical jose & give us no space & will hit long balls into fellani & lukaku, which we will struggle with. Sadly they look very balanced this season & I think will be the team to beat._____________________________

Beni I must say I don’t get this wanting to play the big guns. When Hoffenheim came at us they created good chances & while we are very good going forward the top teams will not miss similar chances that they did yesterday. Our defence will get punished by the top teams like Bayern & co, I’ll take the easiest drAw possible.

G’day Dan, I dunno about Hendo mate, I just don’t think he offers enough to justify a gaurenteed position in the team, let alone captain. Maybe it’s because we have a midfield with too many of the same type of player in there. Hate to say it but we miss that extra bit of skill that a Couts type player brings.

Dan Mako: Absolutely happy with the 3 points, especially after the disappointing result last week. Hendo grew into the game but hopefully he will improve a lot, especially considering he wears the armband. Where in Oz you from mate?

Yeah Hightown I feel the same. whilst Couts is quality on his day your spot on in that he is very inconsistent & has regular injuries, but as Sean & 9 said we just don’t have enough time to replace him.

Good post Dan. I still get the feeling a lot depends on this qualifier next week. I think we will still get a couple in before deadline day & whilst I think Couts will stay, it wouldn’t surprise me to see us take the money provided we do get a couple of quality 1st teamers. We need em mate, we have a serious lack of quality in depth at the moment & it doesn’t look like the injury gods will be kind to us again this season.

Absolutely SIE, I’d have definitely taken that result before hand. As you said the performance wasn’t very convincing but I’m hoping that we can maintain that advantage after the Anfield leg & that will lead to the signings we need to progress.

Yep Ginger, I agree. Might be different if Couts was showing real signs of wanting a move but I think we will get another season out of him. Who knows, we might get VVD & Keita & push for the title & Couts might want to become a LFC legend & help us get back up where we want to be. A lot can happen but I think we are on the up & we have a lot to look forward to, namely watching some good football most of the time.

Ideal situation would be to hang onto Couts & get both VVD & Keita, then I’d be changing my views on fighting for top 4 finish.

Hightown my thoughts exactly mate regarding getting VVD & Keita but Couts going. I get Couts is currently our best player but i do believe he will go after this season regardless so if we can get 2 with such high quality NOW I’d jump at it while we can.
Ive got a feeling a few of the youngsters will play a fair role for us this season & im looking very forward to seeing them_____________________________
