Nine I think people see the quality in depth c$ty have and expect them to win every game by a cricket score. You say none of the top 3 are playing particularly well, c$ty have won 3 games recently with 3-0 3-0 3-1, beat Arsenal 3-1, & beat us. Yes they lost to Newcastle but 1 loss is hardly a blip when you look at the way they have still been dismantling teams & we have been struggling to a couple of narrow wins, maybe a couple of which we probably didn’t deserve, then dropping points in the last 2 games.

Klopp can’t moan about anything, we didn’t deserve to win, in fact I thought we were fortunate to get a point. Westham are unpredictable & deserved at least a point. I think Klopp is getting frustrated because he can see that once impressive lead being eaten away & he knows c$ty won’t drop many more points & we are playing pretty badly with no improvement in sight.

Nine just like being 8 or 10 ahead before Christmas doesn’t mean jack all, nor does being 3 ahead with over a dozen games to go. You say you don’t get the doom & gloom ( I call it reality) tell me this, do you think Liverpool are playing well at the moment? Do you honestly think Liverpool will win it. We simply aren’t playing well & this happens all the time. Look like world beaters then capitulate. We just won’t match c$ty on the run in. I’m not bitter about it, I’m pretty sure most expected c$ty to win it so it’s not like it’ll be a shock when it happens.

Adlab that’s the point mate, we won’t match c$ty’s results, we haven’t played well for a long time & our lack of depth in certain areas is catching up with us as the season rolls on. We have been pretty lucky in a few occasions & that’s also come to an end.
Nil all good mate I know what your saying but you can’t hide from reality, our lack of depth in comparison to c$ty is starting to show already. As for us winning by 4 or 5, we’ll that’s just not going to happen.
I get some of you think I’m giving up or whatever but being honest we aren’t playing well & haven’t for a while. It’s just being honest lads, I’ve said it would happen all season & coming to the stage of the season where depth plays a part, hence us dropping off the pace.
Anyway we are going round in circles here, let’s just see who is right over the next few weeks. See how we are after the manu game, my prediction is we won’t be on top after that game & we will skip further behind in the coming weeks.

Chucks I still think c$ty will have it wrapped up with some to spare. Still a long way to go & they are getting near full strength. Like us your lot just doesn’t have the depth to maintain a challenge. People put me on the negative but I predicted this when we were 8 or 10 points ahead of c$ty & a lot we’re predicting Liverpool to win it. A drop in form from VVD, a couple of injuries & front 3 really not firing all season it was always just going to be a matter of time until we capitulated. We could well finish 3rd but should have enough for top 4.

Haha cityboy if Liverpool had the squad you have & the finances you have even I wouldn’t be to concerned about being a massive 3 points behind the leaders with well over double figures in games to go with a better for & against. Trust me mate, c$ty will have it wrapped up with games to spare.
Ed not a chance would c$ty swap spots with Liverpool, all things considered they are in a better position. Squad almost full fitness, in form after easily beating a top 4 rival & the leaders capitulating with players out of form & injured. As I said to cityboy, it’ll be wrapped up with games to spare.

Nil the cups are our best chance of silverware & we are out of the domestic ones. I can’t really see is bothering the top teams in the C/L the way we are going. We pretty much needed a season with f all injuries to be any chance but that was never going to happen.
Best manager & owners we’ve had for many years has coincided with the most expensive squad ever as competition & unfortunately money is the ruling factor in sport these days.

Mikus c$ty have played most of the season with numerous players out, They have almost a full squad now & make no mistake they will win the EPL. No one can compete with their depth.

Nil poor old Klopp is going to cop it. I think he’s a sensational manager with a lot of passion & a lot of guts to take in teams not doing so well & gradually building them up over a few seasons. The problem he has in the EPL is c$ty we’re just too far ahead & only need a couple of tweaks each season to stay up the top. Money talks old mate & c$ty have a lot more than the rest, simple as that.
On another note I’d like to see Leeds get back into the EPL, I’ve always had a soft spot for them & itd be great to see the back in the top flight.

Well who’d have thought, c$ty will hit the front with a dozen or so games to go after being well behind just before Christmas. You don’t really need to be a fortune teller to predict the EPL, it’s worse than other leagues for predictability. The only club that could possibly compete with c$ty over a season is manu, if they get into C/L they will be able to spend what’s required to compete. Rich dudes from the Middle East taking over a club is the only other way.
Yes nine & Adlab I know it’s not over & Liverpool are in a great position blah blah blah, as I’be said all season no one can compete with the squad c$ty have.
Mak I tried warning you mate don’t get sucked in, Sean knows, money talks old mate, it’s all that matters in sport these days. Sad but true.

I’ve said since day dot c$ty will win it. When we went ahead by 9 or whatever it was before Christmas I still said c$ty would win it. My reason was they have far too much depth & we can’t compete over a full season. I got put on the negative & told I don’t enjoy watching us play just because when a lot on here we’re going way over the top predicting titles etc I still said c$ty would win it.
Now most are saying the same thing because we are heading into the time of year when depth matters. A couple of important players injured & off form & we start playing badly.
So c$ty should win it, they’ve spent way more than anyone else & teams just can’t compete. I’m not saying it to be negative it’s just how it is.
People say Germany, Spain & Italy are predictable, the EPL is no different.

Pagan: the next ashes series is going to be a battle of the duds. Us Aussies are absolute dog muck at the moment, haven’t got a decent batsmen in the team & it appears your lot aren’t much better. If the Aussies make runs against you your bowlers should retire.

Chucks, it’s not just injuries, it’s fatigue as well. Like us your depth from top team to fill ins is nowhere near c$ty & I think that’ll tell as the season rolls on, esp with C/L games. Hope I’m wrong, I’d love to see us 1 & you lot 2.

Nil/Nine: I don’t think we can expect too much from Ox this season, It’ll take a month to get match fit again so I hope people don’t expect him to be a game changer after so long out. Great to have him back though, hopefully give the troops a lift.

Spot on Chucks, you’d try to hide an injury in Rugby or rugby league. I can’t stand the playacting, rolling over 3 or 4 times & screaming like you’ve got your leg smashed in half with a sledge hammer because a defender bumped your shin against his. Biggest blight on the game IMO.

Chucks you lot certainly are flying under the radar, I just feel that like us you don’t have the depth to go the distance.
Mak yeah mate I’m uncomfortable with some saying we are favorites, I don’t see it that way at all. If we were playing like we did a lot last season I’d say we will take some catching but we are barely scraping by & have been pretty lucky a few times & with injuries now becoming a concern I think we will struggle to go the distance. I obviously hope I’m wrong, I’d love nothing more than that long awaited title.

Nine if we were playing well maybe but we aren’t playing well, I’m not making this up just watch our games, we have rode our luck a lot lately, injuries are piling up, only Mane looks like doing anything up top & c$ty have pretty much all their big guns back in action. 5 points is absolutely nothing with 14 games to go. We will not beat manu at their joint for one & unless we get players back in form we will lose a few more games.
Chucky just wait till seasons end & you’ll see why they are rated by many as the best ever EPL side. They will win it & have had 5 or so of their best players out for around a month. I suppose with the money they’ve spent you’d expect them to be this dominant & I think that’s what you’ll see as the season comes to a close.
