Rover, re your point on the fixtures you have to feel sorry for Norwich getting Liverpool and City in their first two fixtures ending up with zero points and a minus 8 goal difference I doubt they expected too much but it’s pretty demoralising for them and they’ll be odds on favourites to get relegated now too.

Yes it’s also tough for weaker clubs who face top teams in most of their first half dozen games, as they nearly always lose they automatically become relegation fodder, it then becomes a massive battle get out as they under much more pressure to then beat the clubs on their level.

Rover utd have a good fixture list. Don’t think they face a big team till end of October so I fully expect utd to top of the league by the time Liverpool play them on 23rd of october

I think it’s more the way Norwich play that made them easy meat for the big clubs. Several of the goals they conceded looked dreadful attempts to play the offside trap.

There are very few true geniuses in football they come along very rarely and retain a special place in the history of football when they do like the Pele’s and Cruyff’s.
Grealish is a very good player albeit vastly over priced due to his buy out clause and City desperately wanting him but he’s not at the level of genius and probably never will be .
From what I saw of the game he had a decent game yesterday he won’t score a more fortunate goal though!
But they all count.😊

Wolves,West Ham, Leicester, Spurs and Chelsea all away in United’s next 6 away games plus City and Liverpool at home, those 7 of the next 11 United fixtures look a tad tricky to me Sean.😊
At the end of the day the fixtures are the fixtures and everyone plays everyone twice and you have to take what you get but it’s difficult for Clubs like Norwich to cope with two opening fixtures like they’ve had hopefully they can turn it around but no points and minus 8 goal difference won’t help their confidence.

One half of a lot of huffing and puffing, with Wolves doing most of the attacking, neither goalie really getting his gloves dirty (Hugo’s first save was the 44th minute and I don’t think the other one has made a save yet!)… room for improvement from both sides here…
As the for peno, under the letter of the law, I very mildly suppose so, but they shouldn’t be given in a million years…

Ye utds first 6 games look all winnable nine. Tricky games but none of the top 6 in there. Just saying I fully expect them to be top or near the top after the first 6 games

Yeah think you’re right Sean United will be up there at the top end of the table by the time they play Liverpool as I suspect so will Liverpool. No easy games though as Southampton are currently proving although I expect United to come back.
Getting the tough games out of the way early can work for you providing you get the right results.
