Im actually delighted to see Elliott start. That’s a great team in my eyes. Obviously, Id have prefered Thiago and Fabinho but… with what we have Im happy. also I think Elliott might be ready. lets find out!

I hope so mak but I think it’s a horrible game to come into mate. These get up to all sorts and are a very tough side . Big and strong etc and I hope he can get into the game . Huge moment for the lad. Really hope he shines

We looked really good there at times. Some of that build up play was excellent. On the flip side, Burnley too have had some penetration. I wouldnt particularly blame anyone, I think they were just doing well TBH.
We’ve stayed cool and played our way out of trouble a few times. A nice assist for Tsimikas, who likely wont start against Chelsea. Harvey Elliott looks dangerous enough, although you can kinda see his youth here or there but no criticism of him. A shame Salah wasnt just on side for that, rightly called off but what a lovely goal it was.
So far so good but if I were to have a worry, it’d be that we might need to score at least one more goal. A quiet game from Mane, I think Salah looks very hungry. Great from Allison so far too.
Sean, I’m really enjoying this match. I know you typical dislike them but surely that is not the case this time?

Hate playing againest them mak. Time wasting from minute one. Bad tackle in Elliot in first min but they are playing well. They are causing us problems and I’m finding it quite tense mate

Well mak you were right about Elliot. He was excellent . Really tough game. Burnley were excellent. 2nd goal was lovely

I was very surprised to see Elliot start nil mate and was concerned as burnley are so physical but it was a perfect debut in the pl. he was excellent
Ox and fabhino off for personal reasons and Milner injured so he got his chance.
I thought burnley were very good in the 1st half. They be safe again this year.
