Do you know what though? I’m not convinced he improves Utd all that much. I’ll get completely wrapped up in it all as it’s always massive when a huge player returns and they don’t come bigger than him. Henry returning to Arsenal, Bale to Spurs, Drogba to Chelsea etc. It was a deal Utd absolutely had to do though, considering the alternative would have devastated the whole fan base, it just had to be done. Seeing him holding up a red shirt again though would be incredible.
Let’s see. Not over the line yet.

Genuinely not too bothered. Not a great fan. As I said above I would much rather have a top quality left back. Basically we have added Grealish to last years squad. Aguero only played 7 games – sadly. Also it means our net spend if there is no more business is £40m. This builds up funds for Haarland or similar._____________________________

I know what you mean Ed, and players returning do tend to cause more excitement than actual results, but I think it does give Man Utd under Ole a big, big lift psychologically.

Ed, United fans will now ” Love the Glazers”.😊 Great PR move by them.
I think it’s probably a tougher gig for Ronaldo at United than at City as United aren’t quite at the same level as City currently and the United fans will remember Ronaldo in his pomp and he’s not at that level now.
Still a very good signing though and he will score goals for United.

I don’t think he can play anywhere but as a striker these days Steve. Cavani (when available/fit) currently holds both the number 7 and that position though so I guess they’ll rotate. In footballing terms, a weird move as we needed other positions more but in business terms, a genius move.

I can defo see why utd signed him but he’s certainly not needed there. He will expect to start every game. What a day though 😂

There isnt nor has there ever been any manners in football. For us, Levy breaks a promise to Kane and what ever nonsense has gone on with Ronaldo you cant trust anybody.

I think Ronaldo will score loads of goals lucky mate. He’s still an unbelievable player even at 36. He is in fantastic shape.
Huge boost for the whole club. Just what it means for cavani or Greenwood? Greenwood will still play but maybe our wife which doesn’t suit him.
Still a great problem for utd to have!

Sean, Greenwood isn’t a 9 yet. Not by any stretch. He’s not even 20 yet. He’ll play loads. Can play anywhere across the front 3. Neither Cavani or Ronaldo will be around long enough to hold him back. Imagine how much he’ll learn from training with them.
