@moonster ive waited the whole of 2025-26 for this moment… forget the rest of the boys on this group.. most of these guys cant put 2 and 2 together!!
Right, none of your bullshit riddles, or hints, flights or barr cola or any other shitty soda links … save us the suspense and lets get the ball rolling…
Whose signing for us in midfield? Straightforward give us 3 options that at least one will happen… i dont want links just 3 names… thats it!
Who will partnering VVD? Any konate replacement thats gonna happen? Fullbacks??
We all know diomande and barcola are being looked at.. anybody else? THAT WILL HAPPEN… even i can say bowen, crysencio… when you say its gonna have more belief for me!
Any other clear cut information would be handy… and look at macattacks structured previous post.. if you can do something similar that would makes “doubters into believers”.
Yours in gratitude. The Asian Sensation.

2nd June 2026 at 6:36 am #247865Sorry, as you may have seen, the forum police say i need to post proof and thats highly impossible on this platform…or any other for that matter.
All I can do i post some information i.e. flight number that are factual, then you can piece it together…or when it comes off, I come back with a ‘told ya’.
Obviously, if the copper and people dont want that information and the other insightful information i.e. the info given on Jones before a European game, which is now reported as fact, the rumoured meeting on the 22nd, the flights to Mallorca and subsequent yacht movement to ibiza facts etc etc…and getting called a liar. Sorry, its not my fault I get information, but fine!
As for who WILL we sign…if I could post proof of that do you think maybe I’d be Romano and selling that information rather than posting here so I can be called a lair…
P.s. would even Iriola know who we WILL sign…its a stupid request isnt it really, the same as the demand for proof by the copper.
So, no more leading information, fine!
Adios-

2nd June 2026 at 6:47 am #247867Even if you might be right, given how much we already need to do in the market and the squad depth we would need to play Iraola style, with European football, I just don’t think the timing is right to move Jones and Elliott on.

2nd June 2026 at 7:03 am #247868We need to be careful with our non-HG quota or some first teamers will miss out on Europe.
I can see us sign Barcola and try for Diomande. Heard a few say one or the other but then we thought that with Ekitike and Isak and managed them both with subsequent hilarious forum meltdowns. Diomande seems more difficult with huge amounts being asked and seeming PSG being ahead of us (might explain why Barcola is allowed to leave), but we do have a good relationship with RBL so you never know. Gakpo I think will stay, maybe Rio loaned out.
I think we will sign Wharton if MacAllister leaves. We should buy another to play DM but not sure we will. I’m not really seeing a role for Gravenberch to be honest in Iraola’s system and did question his contract extension but doubt he will be sold.
We will sign a RB. I forgot about Palestra, he seems a slightly technically better but slightly less athletic version of Bradley. As in can overlap or come inside. Hopefully not as fond of the treatment table as the Northern Irishman!
I doubt we will buy a striker, but more rely on what we have and if needs be use the wingers in emergencies. We won’t buy someone just because Ekitike is out until maybe autumn or even Christmas.
I think Jacquet is Konate’s replacement. Will we buy another CB? Doubt it if Gomez stays. Should we? Yes. My choice would be Murillo.
We could and maybe should sell Marma as use Jaros as the no 2.

2nd June 2026 at 8:25 am #247871It’ll be longer than Autumn or Xmas before we see Ekitike properly again.
Isak can’t play every min of every game.
The squad is very light.
We need numbers and quality to compete on all fronts, playing 3 games a week._____________________________

2nd June 2026 at 9:20 am #247874I doubt you the club will find a striker of good enough quality to play 2nd fiddle for half a season and then be 3rd choice. This is what youth and adaptable players are for. A new striker is probably the least priority of all possible transfers.

2nd June 2026 at 9:36 am #247876I agree Threeps which is why I have previously suggested we need to be smart in the transfer window regards recruitment.
We need a player (or more) who can play as a wide attacker and also centrally to a decent standard.
Currently we have none.
This could be a squad player or more of a first teamer.I had previously mentioned Bowen as an option but that would depend on finances.
Ticks the home grown box.
Can play wide right or centrally to a good standard.
Experienced.
Leader. This would be as a squad option, getting games at right side and central behind the 2 first choices.
And there would be plenty of game time for him.
Im not necessarily saying him per se, but that kinda profile would be very useful as a squad player.
Could also go for a younger player.Im gonna to keep saying this all summer….we need build a squad not just an XI.
Isak cant play every min of every game._____________________________

2nd June 2026 at 10:35 am #247885Well currently we still have Gakpo (who I think will remain) and Chiesa (probably leave but nothing concrete atm), both can play as a no 9. If we add Barcola he can too, although of course you are taking him away from him primary duty on the wings.
Gakpo and Chiesa can both play a link up striker, Barcola more a channel runner. So there are options. Even Wirtz can do a limited job.
Maybe there’s a striker that wont get a look in at their club that we could loan, like Delap or Jackson at Chelsea. I think they would be only available to a rival if a buy is guaranteed.

2nd June 2026 at 10:40 am #247888Gakpo has failed as central attacker under both Klopp and Slot now.
Dont think he can be considered a viable option.
As you state Chiesa likely to go.
Wirtz has yet to show much at all as the most forward central attacker. We need a squad of players.
We are sorely lacking._____________________________

2nd June 2026 at 11:08 am #247892Ok, Rob and Ginger, one simple question
What exactly does Isak have that is so special to justify spending £125m on him, compared to other similar, or even more productive, less injury-prone strikers, who cost half his price i.e. £60m – £70m?
And don’t tell me it’s market price either, because Liverpool has walked away from several deals
that have been too expensive before. And it’s not his goal scoring record either, because the most amount of goals he’s scored in a season (27) is even less than the least amount of goals, elite strikers like Haaland (34) and Mbappé (34) have scored in one season – partly influenced by his poor injury record, of course.
And Rob, I even remember you saying recently, that Isak is just an expensive Andy Carroll, so why the change of tone now?

You either ignore them or just don’t understand.
I’m not wasting any more of my time answering them again.
The world doesn’t exist in a binary.
The transfer market isn’t a supermarket.

2nd June 2026 at 11:25 am #247899And btw Isak, has never even been the top scorer in the PL, to justify such a ridiculous price, never even scored 30 goals in one season.
Deny it all you want, but Hughes fucked up completely paying £125m for Isak. No one has yet provided even one valid excuse for spending such an exorbitant amount – when the funds could have been put to better use elsewhere, either in a cheaper, similar striker, or a winger to replace Díaz.
In fact Isak reminds me of Van Persie, a top striker who was also highly injury-prone, and had just 2 seasons (out of 11) in the PL, where he scored at least 30 goals.

2nd June 2026 at 11:36 am #247904Songman, your poor grammar, aggressive tone, use of capitals and misunderstanding of the word fact does remind me of how Trump posts.
Similar narcissistic tones too.
Out of interest do you deliberately model yourself on him?

2nd June 2026 at 11:40 am #247905Ginger, Gakpo hasn’t excelled but would he be any worse than say Bowen? Not sure he move to be just a squad player only.
Qe saw it last season when Diaz moved to CF because Nunez wasn’t as good and Gakpo had a great season on the left (he really did, think many forget this). Existing squad members that can do a temporary job outside of their usual role.
Didn’t Klopp say something about rather working with what he has than just buying?

2nd June 2026 at 11:52 am #247907@Songman, we know the situation with isak, we needed 2 strikers(jota and darwins replacements)! whatever the case hes a liverpool player now, and due to last years transfer window slots taken the brunt of the blame and his head has rolled.
Lets hope he gets a full preseason, gets physically fit and is back as the prems top striker next season… we need to see what happens this transfer window to fix a lot of what destroyed us last year.
Im not the biggest fan of Real Madrids primadonnas, but with mourinho bringing his bus to run over a few players, i expect to see chaos, carnage and a lot of players discontent with his managerial style. Maybe we might go back for Rodrigo or could ask for a loan for endrick? If bastoni goes there(Threeps is gonna be gutted) maybe go back for huijson?
Iraola has links with athletic club? do you think we could prize nico williams? Theres a lot at play this transfer window with so many options… hopefully richard hughes and Edward’s can rectify their mistakes and are vindicated from last seasons transfer window!

2nd June 2026 at 12:02 pm #247910Gakpo has shown he is worse than Bowen as central attacker.
Bowens played there over 20 times across the last 2 seasons. You’re right he may not move to be just a squad player but at his age if he wants to move to one of the bigger clubs he might just have to take that role.
He’d get plenty of game time between the 2 positions.I dont see any current existing squad player that has shown that they can play that role effectively.
At the min we have Isak, Gakpo and Rio “to work with”.
Ekitike out for most of the season.
Salah leaving.
Likely Chiesa leaving. We are extremely light of options up front.
We need to build a squad.
Even Klopp used Origi off the left and CF._____________________________

2nd June 2026 at 12:04 pm #247911@threeps how dare you bring Trump to this conversation… no one can compare to Trump… the guy is BOX OFFICE!
What youre witnessing is the single most greatest world leader and president in the history of man kind!
He’s fixed a lot of world problems, ended 9 wars, just did a ceasefire with Lebanon and Isreal just yesterday… not to mention the American economy is thriving at the moment, the stock markets breaking records, hes destroyed the drug cartels so America is drug free, we are witnessing the fall of communism in the western world(venezuela and cuba are fucked), they are not reliant on middle eastern oil, hes obliterated Irans nuclear program… and thats just a tip of the iceberg…
what has songman done that he can be mentioned in the same sentence as Donald Trump??
