Might be a loan offer for Zabarnyi? Move hasn’t worked out so far for him yet.

2nd June 2026 at 12:52 pm #247914A loan deal is the type of smart recruitment that can help with the squad depth without overly spending, considering the amount of work that will need done and money spent elsewhere.
Again, doesn’t necessarily have to be this particular player.

2nd June 2026 at 1:04 pm #247915Apparently offered by his agent according to Daveokop.
He was pretty good for Bournemouth under a certain coach if I remember well. He would certainly fill the aggressive central defender position vacated by Konate.
Exclusive: Liverpool hold exploratory talks for Ilya Zabarnyi

2nd June 2026 at 1:39 pm #247918Last season Haaland scored 22 (31 apps) in the PL and Isak scored 23 (34 apps). Comparable in a far worse team. This season Alvarez scored 8 in laliga (29 apps) and last season 17 (37 apps). This season mbappe scored 25 in laliga (31 apps).

2nd June 2026 at 2:52 pm #247922Mac I don´t think the posters here realize how good of a striker Isak actually is, I would only rate Haaland over him in the league and Isak is a long term project. He will be leading the line for us for the next 5 years. BTW he looks in pretty good shape right now, had a excellent cameo against Norway.

2nd June 2026 at 2:55 pm #247923Looks like Konate away to Madrid.
Wouldnt at all be surprised to see MacA doing similar next summer.
If Jones goes and MacA stays I still think we need 2 midfielders.

2nd June 2026 at 3:58 pm #247926If Isak can stay injury free and have a full pre season under the guidance of our new manager, I have no doubt he will be a top player for us. We need to recruit well and provide players that can give him the service though.

2nd June 2026 at 4:10 pm #247927@notorious its not that isaks shit striker, or van persie at arsenal… its the fact hes been injured the whole season! At this moment of time i dont care if he scored a 100 goals at Newcastle… all i care about whats he doing at Liverpool!!
Atm hes been on the treatment table or unfit to play! People know im not impressed with certain players(kerkez, curtis).. but if they stay at Liverpool they have my full support! I felt the same with Naby Keita… i think we should have sold him in 2020 and gotten a more fit player… but he stayed and we didnt reap what we invested!
Out: Endo, Curtis, Chiesa, Harvey, Tsimikas and at a push… gakpo and macalister.
The above players are not crap or have attitude problems ala el hadj diouf, konchesky, djimi traore, markovic, dundee… actually they have potential and are good players, just maybe might not get the game time/backing they want or deserve.

2nd June 2026 at 4:13 pm #247928Not saying qe don’t need to recruit but we already have players good enough to provide Isak. It’s the system theat failed not just him but everyone.
Iraola’s teams move the ball a lot quicker and attack spaces. None of this pass around the back horseshoe rubbish. So hopefully with Isaks movement he will find a lot of opportunities.
But I fully get Gingers concerns, they are not about Isaks’s ability, just his durability as the sole injury free striker. I just think if we get one or two big winger signings then I think we will make do until Ekitike returns, but that might change depending on departures.

2nd June 2026 at 4:26 pm #247930Even if Isak remains injury free until Ekitike comes back at some stage in 2027, he cant play every min of every game.
One sure way to get him injured though is to play him 3 games a week for months on end.
If Danns had been injury free for most of this season and put in some performances there’s a possibility that he could be considered but that hasnt been even close to that case. The lad doesn’t even have double figures in appearances (nevermind starts) in the senior team.
Perhaps Koumas or someone else can provide an option but again we’re relying on untried/untested options at this level.

2nd June 2026 at 5:33 pm #247931Hence going for Bowen which is an absolute no brainer. Will get game time and can operate right and thru the middle. Bags of experience. Proper pro.

2nd June 2026 at 6:19 pm #247932Why cant we get free transfers in anymore… i mean we had matip and milner who were amazing… real madrid have really worked at it for the past few years.. upamecano, goretzka could do a job for us, no? Vlahovic.. sanesi, etc

2nd June 2026 at 6:40 pm #247934I suppose it depends on who you get on free transfer, sometimes the wages they’re after lead to problems with the rest of the squad. We certainly fell lucky with Milner and Matip.
The think what’s really important is to get back to the ‘no idiots or big time Charlies’ being recruited. At our peak a few years ago we had a squad of talented, committed players driving each other on. Milner, Henderson, Salah, Allison, VVD, Robertson, to name a few.
I remember watching Milner give Virgil a proper bollocking – we need to get back to that collective desire for quality.

2nd June 2026 at 7:45 pm #247936Asian sorry but that is the most stupid excuse I have heard for judging a player. I don’t mean offense but you want to judge him on a season where he does not play. Every season he plays he gets around 20 goals in a inferior team.
You look at his play style and you see a greedy striker that will have a go at any team mate if they don’t pass him the ball.
The last striker with this mentality was Suarez or Sturridge. They could argue the whole 90 minutes and provide a goal and a assist every game.
If you think Ekitike is on the same level you are blind 🦮🦯🦮.

2nd June 2026 at 8:10 pm #247937Macclad, we need another Henderson, even a leader of half his talent would suffice. There was not a single player that flopped while he was captain. He set the standards, he ruled the locker room. I wish I could say the same about Gerrard or Carra but no, they let their egos get in the way. I really mean this statement about the difference of egos.

In what sense do i sound stupid? And where did i judge him? Yes hes been a flop signing no doubt… all Im saying i dont care about isaks past… its what he does at liverpool, at the moment hes been injured all season and we cant “judge” him cus he hasnt played but i hope hes not another van persie who was a phenomenal talent but was never fit.. until that 1 season at united! Do you understand? Or you want me to bring some heavys to spain??

3rd June 2026 at 12:06 am #247950Lewandowski on a free is a no brainer too. Utter world class that fella and would still be banging them in when he’s knocking around on his zimmerframe.
Rotate with Isak. Ekitike no clue when he’ll be ready. Can’t hang around.

3rd June 2026 at 12:07 am #247951I think this is directed at me, you can´t judge a game until one week later, you can´t judge a player for the life of you. You will tell your opinion when it´s safe and not until then. Try calling out a game when it is played and I might respect your opinion.

3rd June 2026 at 12:10 am #247952asian, you rely on other poster backing up your bullshit instead of making your own point and you point will be 1 or 2 weeks after the fact in hindsight.
