I agree ginger, we are just not doing simple things right either. Goals we are conceding are so soft. How many times in last 3 games as it been the opposition having 4 attackers againest 3 defenders?
Like were the fuck is everyone. Palace and chelsea we get back in the game then stop playing
Play a right back at right back. Stop playing macca till hes starts improving. Give chiesa a chance.
So many players playing so poorly. Get a settled team. Stop conceding goals. Get back to the basics. Asvthe games have gone on, we have looked worse
Hopefully this two weeks gets macca and isak more up to speed and no injuries

6th October 2025 at 11:44 am #228035Hard to disagree Ginger and Sean; all valid points. Not sure the way forward other than what has been highlighted and that the players and manager ultimately are following the same hymn sheet.
They’ve got to stick at this and stick together to try and find a way. The last 3 fixtures away from home have been tough and new players are needing time to adjust to a new set up and equally, those that have already been there need to get to know them.
Equally, if certain individuals are off form and are not putting in the yards, they shouldn’t automatically be selected. Tinkering around too can lead to imbalance and confusion too when players aren’t used to playing there on a regular basis.

6th October 2025 at 12:09 pm #228036Interestingly, against the same opposition, we are 1 point better off than the same fixtures last season.
We’ve conceded the same amount of goals but scored 1 more.
Burnley swapping for Ipswich. However more the issue for me is the performances and the disjointedness.

6th October 2025 at 12:22 pm #228038“This season we have more freedom in midfield, last season I was the only six, deep deep, and now I can go more forward. I think my strength is also there” Gravenberch
That’s fine but there needs compromise elsewhere. MacAllister isn’t a solution to cover if Grav goes forward, too slow and poor positional sense to play a defensive midfielder. Plus with our fullbacks going g forward and underlapping all the time our centre backs are badly exposed.
Just a few simple changes can fix things. Like Grav stay back more.

6th October 2025 at 1:08 pm #228040Thats it threeps, slot was concerned that we won a lot of games by the odd goal and wanted us to be scoring more.
Goals wasnt really a problem. Conceding then is. Sit in so we cant be opened up like a pub team when we lose the ball in the opposing half. Its just to easy. On top of that not winning our duals and picking up 2nd balls
We just wont improve if we keepngiving away soft goals. Two clean sheets in about 20 games
I get risk and reward but the risk is not reaping the reward atm

6th October 2025 at 1:44 pm #228041These are all valid points once again guys; it’s not just me noticing this but have also picked up elsewhere from different platforms, the point of our midfield overran or passaged through by opposition to the point then where our back line is cut apart.
That part of training and formulation must be addressed and disciplined. This goes are far as pre-season. We’ve shipped goals from our weakness of being caught on the counter. A bit weird and a headscratcher when we’re set up as a 4-2-3-1.

8th October 2025 at 7:43 am #228087Just watched the chelsea game.. woohoo.. slowly catching up to the rest of the world!
I thought we started off well, wonder goal from Caicedo but other than that chelsea hardly threatened! We carved out a couple of good chances in the first half.. szobo having the best chance and isak(who worked hard and did some decent hold up play) missing the header from salahs ball!
We had an amazing chance at the beginning of the second half.. but salah fluffed it. Our weakest link was salah, really selfish and going for glory on a few occasions.. thats the margins right there.. the right pass and we would have had chelsea by the throat!
Positives: Konate was better in this game than the previous games and hopefully thats him on his way back to form i hope. I thought kerkez was better too, got in behind a couple of times but final ball was poor.
Negatives: salah trying to show off against his former club. Maca still taking too long to get in the game. No right winger to come on for gakpo who was wrecked by the time it reached 70 minutes.
