But Song, Slot won’t be able to do many sessions to fix the numerous issues because of the bastard internationals so I’m not expecting much improvement against United. It’s a team we should beat at home but I also said that last season.
Too many new faces assimilating, several players from last season either not fully fit or not playing at the desired level (Konate, Robbo, Salah, Bradley, Mac, Gakpo) and the psychological impact of winning it last year (motivation by us and opposition). Lots of physical, mental and tactical issues to fix. LOTS.

4th October 2025 at 8:13 pm #227943Doesn’t matter Rob, that why he’s paid the big money, and that’s why he won the league last season.
Every top manager suffers setbacks, but it’s how you deal with it what matters, so it’s up to Slot to show that he can come back on top.

4th October 2025 at 9:04 pm #227947In defence of the team, we were away in Europe at an incredibly draining ground in front of a hostile crowd midweek. Chelsea played at home midweek and today. Not an excuse, but it will have had an impact.

4th October 2025 at 9:37 pm #227948For my tuppence worthβ¦..the intensity isnβt there.
We could control games last season and then up it when needed.
At the min we struggle to control the tempo of games.
Thereβs no one reason but from my opinion not having MacA in form is hurting us.
Our back line just isnβt at it which is a massive disadvantage also.
Time for Slot to reassess._____________________________

5th October 2025 at 12:36 am #2279613 Matches away from home and highly difficult ones. I am sceptic about the fixtures; so somebody answer me in the space of 8 days or whatever how we end up with a Trips to Palace, Galatasaray, then Chelsea? Any other Team faced with this? Or is this met with “It is what it is”
Bullet Point this; Everybody wants to Beat us or will be Super ‘up for it’ against us and that comes with the Territory of being high-placed.
I think Slot has faced difficulties with the changes and he has been on the edge and let it out make no mistake. He should shoulder blame with his management style, tactics and team selection. This is what he is employed for.
I mentioned or highlighted pre-season the way we have been ball-watching and especially on the counter-attack, overran through the midfield. None of this has been tactically shut-down, so who is to held accountable?
Good call earlier Tonight on 6-0-6, whilst driving back from work, from a Liverpool fan pointing out all areas from a change in personnel point of view and Van Dijk being in his twilight and Konate not at his level, along with Kerkez. Why is Zobo having to play Right Back?
Wirtz and Isak being the Mega Million signings we’re needing up to speed will get there I have zero doubt, but it’s the DEFENCE and how we’re going about it that’s the concern.
We don’t at this level lose 3 matches, from all competitions, so rather than take the ‘Slot won it in his first season’, we’re past all that, so the bar is naturally raised and criticism rightly or wrongly will land on his Doorstep. If not directly at him, then other areas of where the faults lie.

5th October 2025 at 12:47 am #227963Not too surprising how the tide of predictions can quite easily change; Arsenal now faves at 10/11 whilst Liverpool at 5/2. Feels a bit heavy going into the International break, but 1 point behind, though, the Gunners against us really do have a Robust Squad in all areas.

5th October 2025 at 7:59 am #227973Nil, Galatasary away was a different competition and the only influence it has on the PL is it might put the game forwards or backwards a day. So you can ignore that being an away game and if there’s an agenda. But if you’re asking do other teams play two away games in a row in the PL then yes, all the time.
People can point fingers at individual players but things like low intensity and the large gaps between midfield and defence stem from the training pitch. It’s all on Slot. Love what he did last season but that doesn’t mean he is exempt from criticism.
Have to question the recruitment of the two full backs, good players for a certain style yes but not being used by Slot to their strengths at all. Was he consulted or did they just buy them from informtsion on their data sheets? Makes no sense, especially Frimpong who is a wingback and didn’t play in a back 4.

5th October 2025 at 8:08 am #227975If you look at your fixture list, there are periods where you play three home games in a row.
Both Arsenal and City also have runs of three away games.

5th October 2025 at 8:11 am #227977Donβt disagree with you Threeps. We seem to have square pegs in round holes all over the pitch.
Next up Utd at home, if we lose that one it is really going to hit the fan.
Weβve had back room changes over the summer as well – wonder how much that has affected things?

5th October 2025 at 9:43 am #227982Slot making some mad decisions. Ive never seen endo come in at 1-1. They were there for the taking and missing half a team. Dreadful display.
How salah was not taken off. AMount of misplaced passes. It was just awful.
Clown, disagree, arsenal can defend and keep ckean sheets. We cant. We have conceded 2 goals in 6 games already in all comps, we look devoid of ideas going forward. Slot and his tactics are the issue along with most of the team being woefully out of form.

5th October 2025 at 10:17 am #227984Yea Slot seems to be tinkering a lot, making some strange decisions.
When Konate went off injured why not bring Gomez on leaving Grav in midfield?
Could have brought Gomez on instead of Endo again moving Grav back to midfield.
Why did MacA play virtually the whole game when itβs clear heβs not ready for it yet?
Why was Chiesa not introduced wide for either Salah or Gakpo?I suggested during the summer that I thought we were a wide attacker light.
Itβs defo looking the case now and weβre not even into the depths of the season yet._____________________________

5th October 2025 at 11:16 am #227989Just a bit of perspective on our season so far. Firstly, let’s bust the myth that we were great for the first 7 games (all competitions) and suddenly have fallen off a cliff in losing 3 in the last week. Basically, we haven’t been particularly good all season, but we managed to get through those first 7 games unscathed with a mix of luck and determination where we got late / injury-time winners or just managing to cling on for the points. There hasn’t been a single game where we’ve been comfortable in the last quarter with a cushion that we could see out the game with. All that’s happened this week is that the ‘law of averages’ or ‘footballing Gods’ – call it what you like – have caught up with us and we’ve conceded very late losing goals or lost to the softest of penalty decisions that I’ve ever witnessed. Coupled with the fact that they have been 3 quite tough away fixtures and demanding schedules. i.e. based on our unconvincing start, something was bound to give at some point and, no surprises that it was this week when the excrement has hit the fan.
Who knows whether this is now the real Liverpool and we have to accept that we are a poorer outfit than last season or whether we are still within the settling down / adjustment period and Slot is going to turn things around. The positive aspect though is that we have had ZERO convincing performances, but are still in second / a point behind the leaders, still in the League Cup and certainly not in any panic regarding the Champions League. Can’t think of a better way to get things back on track than the next game at Anfield.

5th October 2025 at 11:37 am #227993Ye thats it RH, absolutely no need to panic but myself and mikuis highlighted weeks ago that this was coming
We concede to many goals and chances. Loads of times last season we should have been dead and buried at half time but found away to win games
Now we are losing them. We are to soft to play againest. Look at caciedo goal. No one went to him. The press is gone. Losing duals, wide open and easy to play through. Now we lack any kind of creativity to create chances for isak
Players constantly being played who are out of form. Slots biggest test so far.

5th October 2025 at 2:27 pm #227997I’m hearing Wharton next summer as a Madrid bound MacAllister replacement.
Players aren’t the issue if they are carrying out their instructions.

5th October 2025 at 9:11 pm #228014A lot of tactical changes as my Brother himself has rightly pointed out made by Slot. I think of late compared to last season, he’s starting to feel the Pressure of now having to defend the Title. He had a free hit last season, and inadvertently, this Fantastic Success Achieved is now a Rod on his back.

6th October 2025 at 9:44 am #228024We look absolutely all over the place with no plan. That defeat sat is tye worst one of the season considering chelsea injuries.
The amount of misplaced passes this season is astonishing.

6th October 2025 at 10:05 am #228026There are several issues at play and they all play their part in my view.
6 new players integrating into the team.
Players that have left that knew the patterns of play/their team mates well.
Several players who are not up to full fitness.
Injuries and a drop in form from some.
The manager tinkering to accommodate.
The managers seemingly lack of trust still in some players.Getting players up to fitness and understanding of their roles and team mates will help but the manager also has to provide the platform for them to do this.
