All this talk about 7 points is a false dynamic until a game is actually cleared by Man City as a defeat.
Imagine if we had lost this and Man City go on to win, then that would be just 1 point and it would feel as though the wheels have fallen off.

I echo the last line of my previous post.
Lucky lucky lucky and Relief!
At best, a GRADE D Minus for that performance. Allison’s seen better days and so has the defence – jeez talk about flashbacks of 2014, Brendan Rodgers and almost Crystanbul!
We make hard work of it in January but ULITMATLELY ALL 3 POINTS and relieved for the final whistle.
Milner sees red and we need to pray that both TAA and Gomez are back on the circuit soon.

Chucky, Townsend got away with a handball over Mane, so we should have been awarded a penalty.

Hmm, half-time. Fortuitous goal scored as many of our own players got sucked into the build up when at that point it looked like we’re going to win the ball.
They’ve just plastered bodies in their own half and made life difficult for us.
Really a game I rather not lose and certainly not our unbeaten run at Anfield.
Some kick up backsides will be given by Klopp.

Heartbreaking for the Foxes, that. After levelling twice as well.
I wonder too if that’s the end for Puel.

Interesting to see Matip back in the team and Klopp starting with both Kieta and Fabinho.

Morning Mak thanks mate. We don’t all agree all the time but always enjoy a passionate debate ?
At work now for a while but will be ready for the 3pms.
Need to meanwhile chat to Virgin about my data allowance as I’m being charged for this – yikes!??

Wouldn’t want Liverpool in it full stop.
I’m pretty sure our fanbase and owners get a say. TBH, didn’t think it would stem this far. My whole thesis is that I want the others to go whilst for us, we can stay and build on to win Domestic Trophies.

What does it matter though throughout?
For me in supporting my club: Glory on the Pitch and Happiness.

18th January 2019 at 8:44 pm in reply to: Spectators providing support/atmosphere reflecting spirit of the club #31576Brian, @ 8:17, that’s all I want in essence.
6 years though without any Silverware whilst competitors around us winning in proceedings has been difficult to muster for a long time. Rival teams too to add to the Wedge.
I’m the kind of Football Supporter that will Welcome any trophy and will NEVER look down my nose. We as Liverpool are trying to overcome recent setbacks of being losing Finalists.
Here’s Hoping.

18th January 2019 at 8:36 pm in reply to: Spectators providing support/atmosphere reflecting spirit of the club #31575Adlab, in essence, summed up well mate.
For what it’s worth, without all your wealth and recent success, I regard Manchester City as a Big Club.
My Bug Bear is changing Grounds/Locations as Maine Road I felt was always your Identity.
I get though mate, to get somewhere in reality in life, you have to adapt and move with the times.
Pleasure mate as always.

I’m honestly finding Adlab’s Viewpoint of interest and to some extent, in agreement.

18th January 2019 at 8:15 pm in reply to: Spectators providing support/atmosphere reflecting spirit of the club #31570West Ham United are a Big Club.
Teams experiencing recent height of success and are underpinned by an Investor I have to say doesn’t place them on any higher Pedestal.
That ‘theory’ might be pulled off with Leyton Orient and Brisbane Road, and the now AFC Wimbledon and the then Plough Lane, if that was to ever be dug up and revamped completely! 😀

mate, you’ve put together some sort of a ‘check list’, but without even sifting though that off the top of my head I’d say Leeds United, Newcastle United and Nottingham Forest would be considered as a Big Club.
Tottenham too are a Big Club.
It just seems to me on the evidence of this and another topic I picked up on, by perception through recent fan experience, Comparison to European Clubs is factored in as some sort of a Barometer and I see Champions League involvement and how many times in winning it.

Nine, it seems so far, I’m seeing things differently to you on this particular subject. Other than the revenue, I’m not sure how a Super League would be progress, progress for who exactly.
You seem to lean more towards in acceptance of Football being a business.
I am against the idea because I don’t want this to turn into another money-making machine, a bit like the Prem. The Gulf as far as quality of players go is because over the last 25 years, we’ve allowed a stature of more overseas players than to nurture players from our own soil.
I don’t know why people would be against a Two Tier Premier League – why not?
I’m against it because I dislike a lot of the European Teams, in fact practically all of them – La Liga included, because of the money, corruption and underhand tactics on the pitch.
Plus, I wouldn’t want to be playing the same type of teams EVERY week like a Man City, Man United or a Chelsea.
I don’t even look forward in the Prem and the head-to-heads as such because of the level of threat, and if I’m honest as far as my team goes, I’m after now for a more easier life and for my club to win competitions comfortably.
Anyway mate, agree to disagree – plenty of other topics to chew on. Cheers
